I was looking for a cute place to stay outside the city and near Vik. This guesthouse was located in a beautiful place and we had a great view from our room. The room was very clean and comfortable. I really liked this place, I would come back if I have the chance.

We saw the northern lights as we drove up to this spot. Perfect spot for seeing the northern lights. Located in a large field on a farm with sheep, etc. Nice comfortable room and very nice hostess. Breakfast was very good. I highly recommend!

Vellir was one of the best guesthouses we stayed at on our trip through the south of Iceland. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. We got a double room with a private bathroom. The owner is very kind and accommodating. The house is down a pretty long gravel road, but it’s in a good location especially if you want... More

It is located not far off highway 1. We reserved a double room with a shared bath and were upgraded to a double room with a private bath, which was very nice after driving from the airport in rain and fog. The room was very clean and a nice size. The makings for coffee / tea were also in the... More

The hotel is nothing special. The room was small. The beds were OK. The only temperature control was to open the window. The breakfast was good. At least the beer was cold. The little hotel is too expensive for what you get.

The guest house was a big disappointment after other lovely places we have stayed. The walls are VERY thin, you can hear everything in the next room! It seems the owners are trying to save money and cut corners in many areas. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom needs updating. Breakfast was OK.

We lasted 1 night in one bungalow. This was the only choice in the area when we booked online. Bungalows are 50 mt from the main building and offer 3 rooms plus space and comfort to last for several days. The kitchenette needed some cleaning and the shower needed some maintenance but the rooms where ok. The guesthouse is 15... More

We wanted accommocations near Vik but away from the hustle and bustle. Guesthouse Villir fit the bill, being about 20 minutes from town. Our hostess was so very nice and helpful in making arrangements for some sightseeing. Our room was clean and tidy and had it's own private bathroom and views from two adjacent windows. A perfect place for taking... More

The location for this guesthouse was great - off the beaten path, not in middle of Vik, but very close and great location to get an early start to all the sights nearby. We had a shared bathroom (between 2 rooms) and it was very clean and well kept. We ate dinner here and I would recommend it. Outdoor patio... More

we stayed at this guesthouse one night during our trip. We loved it. Beautiful views, easy to find, welcoming staff. Clean, fresh facilities and comfortable beds. We loved the atmosphere at this guesthouse. We also had dinner here - it was superb! The owner made us fish and lamb dishes from stratch and they were topped off with yummy dessert.... More
