Hotel Bjork was perfect for us! The staff at the hotel were generous with their time in helping us map out what we hoped to accomplish in five days. Best restaurant attached to the Hotel...in fact we recommended by most of the 'locals' when asking for recommendations. Walking to the main area of town wasn't too long and afforded us... More

When arriving to the hotel, the first impression is not the best possible: the hotel is located in an industrial area. After getting in, things get better. The hotel is quite basic, but clean and comfortable. The rooms are quite small, especially if there are two persons in them. The ventilation is quite poor, the window has to be opened... More

Been there in the beginning of April and rented a double room for 5 nights. Considering that we pay around 160 Euro for the whole period (2 persons) it was just perfect. First of all the hotel is not that for from the city centre as some people complain but I wouldn't recommend it to people who get tired after... More

It's a 12-15 minute walk from the downtown part of the city with the main bars/restaurants and the harbour, but it's a straightforward route and in fact means that the area around the hotel is much quieter and you get more sleep! There's a 24 hour supermarket about a stone's throw away, the reception staff were very kind and helpful,... More

We needed a base for 3 nights to explore Reykjavik and around, and this hotel served the purpose. The room was average, reasonably sized with a small bathroom (shower only). The hotel has no bar, no lounge, and a restaurant attached that is a separate company that serves a basic buffet rather limited choice breakfast. We used the restaurant one... More

Hotel Bjork was an excellent option for budget accommodation in Reykjavik. It is about a 20 minute walk to the Austere and Parliament, which wasn't too bad unless it was windy. Not too sure i'd want to make that journey after 7 or 8 Icelandic beer though. The room was very basic European (small and a single bed), but clean... More

We stayed here in early May for four nights. The hotel was great value and well managed with friendly staff and reasonable facilities. The hotel is a little out of the city centre but Reykjavic is tiny so 'a little way out' means at most a 20 minute walk anywhere. I found it to be a great balance of value... More

Good room; great beds. My only complaint is that area for toilet and shower is cramped. Good location not in middle of nightlife. Staff was extremely helpful in setting up excursions. Adjoining restaurant, which is under separate ownership is excellent, and prices, for Reykjavik, are reasonable. The restaurant provides the morning breakfast buffet.

The Hotel Bjork does not look like much. But, it is clean (even the back of the radiator was dust free), the staff is very friendly, and you have an amazing view (if facing the right way). It is also a great deal cheaper than downtown hotels. The walk to downtown is 10-15 minutes, tops, and it's a pleasant walk.... More
