The rudest owner on the planet must be Einar, who 'ru(i)ns' a quite cheap guesthouse. If you are travelling by car, be sure that there's NO parking lot for you, which is obviously the opposite to what you are promised on their website. As mentioned by others there is NO reception, you have to wait for him to come and... more

This was the cheapest place we could find at the time, as the hotels were all outrageously expensive. The breakfast was questionable but the staff were nice and did their best to help us with things to do in the city. We loved Iceland, but would not likely come back to this place. more

Staying in this guesthouse was the only bad experience on our trip around Iceland, for several reasons: 1 - There is no reception at this guesthouse. Upon arrival you are instructed to call the manager, assuming you happen to have a mobile with you, who then arrives to check you in, not without making you wait at least 30 minutes.... more

This hotel has been the only negative thing about Iceland which is an incredibly wonderful country. Why? For different reasons, to many perhaps.... First of all there is no reception and you have to call the owner to let him know that you are there waiting for checking in (what if you don't have your mobile with you?). Second, the... more

Great staff (very nice young couple running that Guesthouse!) and very nice private rooms. If you travel with friends I do recommend to book a private room in Pavi Guesthouse. I booked a bed thru hostelworld.com and I stayed a few nights in dormitory room which was ok. Enjoyed great breakfast and touristic atmosphere. Go for it! more
