Being very far from anywhere other than Greenland, Iceland is an enchanting but expensive country, so we were delighted to find a decently located, decently priced guesthouse. Pleasant and helpful owners. Shoes-off policy. Simple rooms. Buffet breakfast. WiFi is free, but available in public area.

The Guesthouse staff are really friendly and helped us with any questions we asked, (even printed out our boarding passes for our flight home) beds are super comfy and rooms are quiet, its a walk-able distance from the attractions in the capital but I recommend renting a car from the near by SAD cars, you can get a car there... The plane left Copenhagen late, so we landed late. It was raining in Reykjavik, but we got the Gray Line bus. We arrived shortly before 11 pm, but were pleasantly greeted. We were supposed to share a triple room, but instead were given a single and a double for the same price. It was a bit chilly in my basement... More

We have to find some place to stay in Reykjavik after we have felt to the river. We were welcomed by a owner. We stayed in private 3 bed room, with comfortable beds and all that you may need. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise as it might be hard to find rather big choice for included breakfast. Owner was very... More

I have mixed feelings with this guesthouse, but I think it can be a fine place if you take some things into consideration. We were welcomed by a lady who was a bit grumpy and that didn’t make us feel very welcome. We had possibly the smallest room in the whole guesthouse which had very thin walls, other rooms that... Stayed here with my daughter, she had previously stayed here with friends and recommended the place. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good. Yes you do leave your shoes by the door but this is not unusual in Iceland and it keeps the noise down. The owners were very helpful, they only took over the Alba... More

The guest house has a very warm & welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast is served in a beautiful winter garden. The hosts also offer to make sandwiches / tea or coffee to take on tours. The rooms are basic, but have everything you need. Big plus is that there are washbasins in all rooms, so less queues at the bathrooms :-) Shared... More

I rarely leave negative reviews, but oh my... I should have got that something was totally wrong with them since I had emailed them several times after my booking but they kept ignoring me. Arrived there and the first thing I was told was to take my shoes off as that's their policy. When the floors are not heated, that's... More

Situated in the city center (Only 15 minutes walk) the owners are very welcoming and very helpful (they helped us for a tour issue caused by the weather! quick and effective!). The breakfast is ideal, continental, diversified with typical products such as tomatoes jam! We had a great time there for 3 nights and even if the room might be... More

Had a lovely stay here in Reykavik. The owners were really helpful and helped us book tours and organise car rental. Wifi included and overall a very relaxing atmosphere.I would come back again here to stay.
