We wanted an hotel on the fringe of town, allowing easy access on foot, and hopefully avoiding the noise of the centre. Brilliant choice, a couple of minutes stroll to most of what Rejkavik has to offer. A small spa in the basement, containing a hot tub, sauna and steam room, perfect for melting the icicles that quickly form on... More

Stayed here for 3 nights in november 2014. Best bed, duvet and pillows and best sleeps for me! A friend asked me what had been my favourite part of iceland and i said the sleep! Duvet is down and feels just so cosy and warm. Its nice to relax in a nice warm room and a soft comfy bed after... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 5 days in room 606 and the view from our room was amazing with beautiful views of the mountains and water. I had read a lot of reviews that the room was small, but I found the size of the room to be OK and not as bad as I had... More

Great location, good choice of breakfast included in the cost of the room.  Room was perfect for what we wanted, simple and functional with lovely underfloor heating! Staff on reception were very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. (Andri especially.)  Spa was a great added extra to relax in after a day of exploring the beautiful sights Iceland has to offer.  This... More

My husband and I stayed this week for 3 nights, and had a mixed experience which is why I've gone for the middle average rating. First impressions were good - easy check in, fairly friendly staff, and we had an ocean facing room as requested. The room was compact but we knew to expect this from reading other reviews. It... Just returned from a very enjoyable 3 night stay at Arnarhvoll. On arrival we were warmly greeted by a friendly member of the reception staff. Our room wasn't quite ready so we headed up to the sky bar for a cheeky cocktail and we were impressed by the views of the harbour and mountains- really stunning. An hour later we... More

We arrived around 1pm and were checked-in quickly with no fuss about us being early! Unfortunately, our first room had a window seal that had blown but they changed us to a wonderful room, 707, without question. This room had fab views of the harbour and mountains and is worth staying in one of these if you can! Great breakfast... More

This hotel was part of a package deal through secret escapes. I haven't travelled a major amount, but I have stayed in enough hotels to say that this was a great place to rest in between exploring the fantastic country of Iceland! There were 6 in our group and 3 rooms were booked. Me and my partner, my two brothers... More

We recently stayed at Centerhotel Arnarhvoll for four nights. The hotel is relatively small but when you explore Reykjavik you find that applies to most places. The hotel is well situated, with the City centre just a two minute walk away. If you are planning any excursions during your stay, they can be arranged at reception and you collected and... More
