Great location, good sized rooms, very friendly and helpful staff, good service and a perfectly acceptable breakfast buffet with a good choice of hot and cold dishes. The beds were comfy and the walk-in shower (no bath in standard rooms) had plenty of space. Decor is a dark Nordic midwinter motif but quite pleasing if you like dark brown and... More

I booked this hotel after doing extensive reviews online. First of all this hotel has queen sized bed as an option, which is a hard item to find in Reykjavik. Second, this hotel offers a continental breakfast, which is helpful as we toured extensively which left little time to sit at a regular breakfast restaurant. The room was small by... More

Stylish Ambiente during the day, to really recommend! ….but search for sleeping in the night a other place or take waxbools/oropax for your ears! this in a 4 stars Hotel?! I complaint this to the staff. At every floor in the corridors you here the noise like waterfall. We had two rooms on the 4.floor: both same serious technical problem.

What an amazing hotel booked through lowcostholidays. We travelled in February 2014 for 4 nights. The location is perfect, right in the centre of Reykjavik. The breakfast was amazing, especially the smoked salmon! Room was amazing. Really modern decor and really spacious. Free wifi was an added bonus. We wouldn't hesitate to return to this hotel if we ever headed... More

This fairly modern hotel is very central and only a 15min walk from the convention centre. However it is around 45min from Keflavik airport and taxis are expensive, so it is advisable to book a shuttle bus beforehand, or at the airport. The hotel has a very interesting lobby, with large leather seats, a sunken area, a computer and books... More

We traveled about Iceland for hiking, with 3 stops in Reykjavik between drives, and stayed in 3 different hotels downtown. Thingholt was definitely the best value, the most fun place to stay, and (with the discount coupon from check-in) the restaurant was also a good value. Additionally, the food was excellent and creative; we were sad that there were so... More

My wife and I stayed in the CenterHotel þhingholt for our our honeymoon and really enjoyed it. The location is fantastic -- both for restaurants and for transit. If taking any of the Iceland Excursions or Grey Line tours the loading area is just a few blocks away. The rooms are well kept and very clean both in maintenance and... More

Exellent location. Rooms are not the biggest. Lots of concrete and furniture are dark, with a modern and industrial look. Very helpful staff. Good breakfast included in room price. If you prefer to sleep with your winow open you'll be kept awake by the noise from the streets. But no noise with window closed.

Great location, very modern, but dark and ungainly; in the foyer with another couple, I stepped back to make room...soaking my foot in a shallow moat! Our "deluxe" room was poorly laid out, small, with a bathtub on a bias making maneuvering two large suitcases difficult, and lighting so 1950's, with no light at all over the desk. Deskstaff was... Many things in Iceland are dark and or black. This otherwise very nice hotel is extremely dark. The staff was nice and the breakfast (not plentiful but) not bad at all. Rooms were very small and like the rest of the hotel dark. Location is just superb - right in the enter of town.
