Shared kitchen and bathroom. Noise from the bathroom fan on the neighboring room. Very weak wifi signals to the room. 15 minutes walking distance to downtown. Decent parking place in the backyard and little noise from traffic.

I’ve stayed at Sunna for six nights. The guesthouse has a superb location if you want to experience Reykjavik. Close to the main street and city center and close to the “Halgrimschurch”. I attended a conference at the university, and a seminar outside of Reykjavik during my stay. I used some of the mornings and earnings to work at the... More

This is an ordinary "apartment building guesthouse". Our apartment (we were four friends) had two roomy bedrooms with a lot of closets, a big living room, a kitchen with a dining area, a big hallway and a spacious bathroom. One negative thing about the bathroom though.. The window was frosted, but in the middle it was ordinary glass. Because of... More

This was a wonderful find and I loved it. Stayed for three days before I went to Greenland and two days when I returned. It is in a great location , easy to walk anywhere . The staff were gracious and helpful and the rooms were clean and had a great shower, and comfortable bed. There were laundry facilities available.... More

5 of us stayed for 4 nights last week and our stay was faultless in every way. The Sunna is clean, modern, comfortable, well equipped, ideally located and run by staff who really do care that you enjoy your stay and do all possible to bring that about. The price is very reasonable, somewhat at odds with what one may... More

This was my first trip to Reykjavic and I cannot recommend Guesthouse Sunna enough. You cant beat it for location for one thing. Its no more than an easy 15 minute walk from the BSI bus station. The shops, bars and restaurants and harbour are all an easy walk away. My room had a fab view of the church opposite.... More

Iceland is expensive, be prepared. I was so pleased that I had found an inexpensive hotel in downtown Reykjavic, so when we got to the hotel, I was not expecting anything too nice. I was very pleasantly surprised! The location is great - I could see the big church out of my window - it was across the street. We... More

Great place to stay across from the cathedral and with Loki Cafe next door you can have a true Icelandic experience. The Guesthouse staff are excellent and the breakfast included with your rate is plentiful and delicious - especially their homemade breads. Room was quaint and small and although I shared a bath, I did not see the other guests... More

Full disclosure, I got a free upgrade so my review of the place is raves. The place is centrally located but not in the middle of the nightlife chaos. The family that owns/runs it are quite helpful and friendly. The interior is very nice; the lobby and dining area is very modern and clean. I'd definitely recommend, it's a solid... More

The room is basic but has all your needs satisfied. The bathroom is tiny so if you are claustrophobic, the shower will give you problems. The internet is free but very slow. The staff however is friendly and knowledgeable. The location is a short walk from the centre of Reykjavik but next to the Cathedral.
