This is not a luxury establishment, but it's perfectly nice. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Furnishings were no more or less than needed. Beds were comfortable, but only passably so. The breakfast was great for me. Lots of choices. Fresh fruit, cereals, breads, tomatoes, coffee, etc. They even bake their own bread. The location was perfect for us. Right... More

Bad - The doors to all the rooms slam shut very loudly. This means that it is very difficult to sleep from 6am in the morning when people are leaving for excursions and after 11pm at night when people are returning. The walls are also very thin so you can hear EVERYTHING, even several floors above. I would suggest that... More

This was our final stop on a 10 day self drive ring road. It also seemed that most people staying at the hotel were airport bound the next day. We had budget accommodations so that meant shared bath. This guest house had an awesome set up for budget accommodations- two separate showers per 4 double rooms, full kitchen facilities and... More

Really well placed in the heart of Reykjavik and so within walking distance of restaurants, bars, Attractions and Tourist Centres. It is no frills and not a luxury hotel but it is clean and also has a small (shared) kitchenette area. Breakfast is basic but sufficient.

We only stayed here one night, but it was a very nice stay. We booked a double room with a private bath and it was a nice size and very clean. There was even a small balcony. The beds were comfortable and the curtains were thick enough to do a decent job keeping the summer sun out, but they were... More

This was my second visit over the course of two years to Guesthouse Sunna, and I returned because the rooms were comfortable, the location was superb, and the breakfast was hearty. Staff were friendly during both visits, and we loved the view of Hallgrimskirkja. I didn't mind the shared bathroom aspect of the stay, because the bathrooms were nicely maintained.... More

Great, helpful staff. Location can't be beat - at the top of the hill across from the cathedral. Beautiful scene at night. Easy walk to all parts of downtown and restaurants. Near domestic airport and rental car companies. Reasonable price but smallish rooms. Great breakfast.

We stayed four nights in Sunna Guesthouse in Reyjkavik and the staff were friendly and efficient, the rooms comfortable and clean, and the buffet breakfast wholesome and tasty (e.g. on the premises fresh baked bread...yummy). As well, you could easily walk anywhere in the City Center and book and pick up multiple tours. Iceland is comparatively expensive to most countries... More

Although this hotel may look far away from the action, it most definitely is NOT. Starting out, it is right across the street from the GIANT Hallgrimskirkja church tower. Now, think about walking all around Reykyavik....and all the time you know EXACTLY where your hotel is, as the tower can be seen anywhere in town. Talk about landmarks! The rooms... More
