It's basically a hostel with a giant, new, shiny common area. Clean toilets and showers. Lovely crew. Mi room was a six-er on the road but the road is silent and the bed was comfy. The people I met was good and tidy. It's very reasonable priced and its a stone throw from the centre. Parking is easy.

Although check-in was a bit clumsy at first since we arrived early (which we had indicated in our booking before), the apartment was absolutely fantastic. It was sparkling clean and staff came by to check whether we were OK after we checked-in. Our needs were promptly answered and met. It is conveniently located a block from the main shopping street.

Domus was nice, clean and very well equipped (fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with a washing machine and dryer, there was even washing powder). But beware the queues - in our house at least, there were four rooms per one bathroom. Our room was very small (although one staff member sweetly suggested: it's not small, it's cozy!), and you could practically... More

We stayed at Domus Guesthouse for two nights in a private room for two people. We found the staff to be helpful with the accommodation having all the basics we needed, including a fridge in our room. The room was clean and the guesthouse had private parking around the back of the guesthouse. The guesthouse is well-located for using as... More

We booked a private double room in the hostel. It was clean, quiet. The man at the desk went out of his way to help us several times during our stay - very helpful. I was very pleased with the experience and the price was among the most reasonable in the city. I would stay here again.

I chose this via the Internet. It's a simple guesthouse, with cooking facilities, very centrally located in the heart of Reykjavik. Rooms are simple but adequately furnished, but do not have 'en suite' facilities - nor even a sink. My room was on the lower floor, next door to the shower and WC, and there was no conflict for usage.... More

My boyfriend and I booked a private double room with shared bathroom. The pictures online looked fantastic. Our room was nothing like that. We were put in a small dorm with bunkbeds in the "sleeping bag accommodation" section. We hadn't been warned about this when we booked and didn't have bedding with us. It was FREEZING! I don't mind roughing... More

Great location, one block away from all the downtown action. That way you get the proximity but not the noise of the weekend pub crawl. Positives: location, cleanliness, price, friendly service. Negatives: thin walls, receptionist is not always around and his English is marginal. Showers are shared.

I stayed at Domus guesthouse for one week in April in a single room, my friends booked a triple room and a twin room so we had the whole second floor for ourselves. There is internet in every room and we were able to use the kitchen and washing machine as needed. This guesthouse has a fantastic location, the price... More
