We booked at Baldursbra for our 3 days in Iceland. However, prior to getting there, my husband fell ill after traveling around the UK for 2 weeks. We then managed to book an early flight home, checking out of Baldursbra the next day. My husband called the owner and informed her of our plans and she became irate and berated... More

Dear guest, It is standard procedure during high-season that bookings cancelled on very short notice are still charged. I have not done so and that on top is the fact that the payment you left on the table that morning was not equal to the full amount for even the one night you stayed. In the meantime, you will excuse... More

Just stayed there for 5 nights with my g/f. Place was wonderful and in the center of everything in Reykjavik. Evelyne the owner was great. She helped us book tours and gave us some great advice on where to go and where NOT to go. The guesthouse was quite nice with very comfortable beds. Though bathrooms are shared, that wasn't... More

I am sure that the owners are friendly to those who are staying here. However, the woman who apparently runs the place was horrifyingly rude, even mean, to us. We were dropped off in front of this Guesthouse by Iceland Excursions; I and my husband were under the impression it was like a bus stop and that we could proceed... More

My husband and 18 year old son stayed for 3 nights at the Baldursbra Guesthouse and liked it so much that a few weeks later, my husband and I and our 17 year old daughter returned for another three nights. The location of the Guesthouse is absolutely perfect -- just down the street from the American Embassy (not that we... More

We stayed here for 5 nights on our first trip to Iceland. It proved to be a friendly and homely base, and ideally situated in the quiet and leafy heart of Reykjavik, only 10 minutes walk to the centre of town, and its restaurants, museums, shopping, harbour area etc. There are about 8 bedrooms so having only shared bathrooms -... We spent two days in this guest house, we had very good recommendation from the owners what to visit / do / where to eat in town. Location is perfect. The bf is varied. I have put 4 stars just because whn we arrive our room floor was not that clean but overall experience was great.

Stayed here with my daughter and granddaughter for two nights on stopover to London. Evelyne gave us breakfast even though we arrived very early, and again fed us when we departed for an early flight out. She arranged a last minute Golden Circle tour, as well as calling for transport back to Keflavik. This guesthouse is a perfect lodging away... More

Baldursbra is located in a nice quiet area of the city yet you can be at the waterfront or downtown in just 10 minutes. It is right down the street from the beautiful church, Hallgrímskirkja. Our room was on the second floor which also had another 2 rooms. We shared a bathroom with these 2 other rooms but never had... More

My niece, her partner and I recently returned after a 5 night stay in this comfortable, cosy and warm home from home Guesthouse, Baldursbra. Hosts Evelyne and Phillipe made all guests feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them. They were always available for advice and help on places to visit, trips to book, car hire and even... More

We stayed in this lovely guesthouse for two nights in Reykjavik. The owners went out of their way to make us feel at home and enjoy our time in Iceland. The breakfast was amazing and the lodging very clean and homey. It's a great and affordable option if you want to get away from the sterile hotel surroundings and feel... More
