I'm a big fan of this hotel and would have no issue staying here again! The room was very large and nice. My friends room was also huge but totally different design. Nice beds and bathroom was great as well with nice shampoo and other products they give you. The staff was absolutely superb. Very nice and helpful with lots... More

This hotel was recommended by several friends due to it's location. Most of the staff, but not all were helpful and friendly. The bar is a great place to gather before or after dinner. We spent three nights there and found our room clean, a little dated but overall satisfactory. I'm not sure I will ever be converted to a... More

Arrived in a.m. and room not ready until after 2 p .m. Took a great city tour of Reyjavik and arrived back at 4 p.m. and no room assigned!! Finally given a room which I rejected as I had to walk down 8 steps without a railing and didn't feel comfortable with only my cane. The manager gave me another... More

Dear Marcia, Thank you for your recent review! We are glad to hear you were able to enjoy the Reykjavik city tour before checking in. In the fully booked summer months it is sometimes difficult to get rooms for early check in however 16:00 is definitely not the "norm". I am also pleased to hear that our manager was able... More

Rooms vary in size. Mine was spacious. Scandinavian room styling with bare wood floors and clean, uncluttered appearance. I left on a Thursday and was on the 5th floor, so street noise was not a problem. Excellent location near restaurants, shops, harbor, etc.. Free wireless internet in the room and a business center are available 24 hours.

We just returned from a long weekend holiday in Rejkjavik and can't say enough great things about 1919. It is the perfect location if you want to be in the middle of it all. Yes there are folks in the streets at night but it didn't bother us at all on the fifth floor. The rooms are typical in size... More

We did a 2 night stay in Rekjavik via Copenhagen to Toronto at the end our our 11 day Baltic Cruise. This was our second visit to Rekjvaki but first to Radisson 1919. Great location helpful/efficient reception, amazing breakfast and hotel staff. Overall it was a great experience and the hotel was centrally located to great restaurants, main shopping street,... The hotel is located in downtown Rekjavik about 45 minutes from the airport. It is close to the harbour, shops & local restaurants. There are two main entrances to reception from either side of the hotel (opposite streets) with efficient check in. Staff speak very good English and were helpful with local information. You can book trips through reception (local... More

This is by far the worst hotel experience I've had in a long long time - and by far the worst of any Reykjavik hotel. Be aware of the attendant at night, really really bad attitude. I checked-in the first night and was told of free laundry by a letter that was especially written to me in the hotel room,... More

Dear Kai, Thank you for taking the time to give us some feedback about your stay. I would like to first off apologize for the confusion that seems to have happened regarding the laundered item which was stated correctly in the welcome letter you received. We have followed this up with our reception staff and I am happy to see... More

This is a lovely hotel. We just got back from a four-night stay. The advertised view was of the mountains, but also of the car park and hot dog stand (although apparently Bill Clinton did shop there!). It is right in the centre of town, handy for everything. The room was good, toiletries were lovely, everything there that you needed.... More
