Can't ask for anything more centrally located. Clean rooms. Everything in walking distance. Staff a little standoffish. Very good breakfast. Unique integration of old hotel with new hotel and right next to site of the original Iceland settlement in 872!

Reykjavik Centrum used to be my preferred place to stay while in the capital of Iceland. If you get the nice rooms, like 210, it really is a good place. But you can never know what room to get. We booked 210 and 211 which both are nice and worth the price. Instad we got 210 and 309. 210 has... More

Well located near many shops and restaurants, spotless, easily reached by FlyBus, with an excellent bar-restaurant. Service was slow and erratic, though. We were given a shuttle bus appointment that was recorded wrong at the desk, but luckily could be corrected. No one explained how to turn on your room's electricity using room key--we thought it was on the fritz!

Three nights at this hotel: two buildings expertly joined together and the furnishings are very good. Boutique nature to it. The rooms are ok in size; bathrooms small. Powerful shower was wonderful each morning. Generous breakfast, buffet style, with huge choice, well cooked. (not included in the price but they may do deals that do include it). The hotel is... The actual hotel looked very nice, although I was only in the lobby. We were given a large room around the side of the hotel and in a building detached from the hotel and across an alley. It was me and my 84 year old dad with 2 average size suitcases and 2 carry on's....we were in Europe for 2... More

The hotel rooms are very clean, breakfast lovely and bar food in the evening great (was worried before I came as I am not a fish lover, but plenty to chose from). Rooms a little limited on hanging space, but hidden ironing board and iron so can't complain. Staff friendly and helpful. Never come across a city centre where shops... More

Nice, clean, comfortable hotel with a wonderful central location, we were in short walking distance of everything we needed. Reception staff were very helpful. No wifi in rooms - only in lobby area. Breakfast was good quality and plenty of it, my only slight criticism would be that on one day there were no seats available and we had too... More

This is a great hotel close to everything, staff very helpful and friendly, rooms great size. Breakfast has a great variety and fresh. Room 306 has bathroom for short people try and avoid if possible. Wifi did not work well in rooms ok in foyers and lounge areas.

Checked in for a couple of nights in early October and was immediately impressed that our room was ready and empty despite our very early arrival circa 8am as a result of an overnight flight into Keflavik. Airport transfers were a doddle with Flybus offering drop-off and pick-up at any hotel in Reykjavik. This quirky traditional Scandi property fuses modern... More

I would say our stay was average. The bed was very firm and felt like we slept on a board. The location is very convenient to walking around downtown. There is no parking at the hotel and you will need to use either the pay parking (from 9 am - 6 pm) or venture farther up the street near the... More
