Really lovely conversion of two houses into one. This hotel is ideally located. Bedrooms are clean and comfortable with good bathrooms and limitless hot water showers-essential as the outside temperatures were of the minus kind! The staff were extremely helpful arranging trips and sorting out bookings . Did not try the on site restaurant but menu was extensive and prices... More

Pro's Great location, couldn't get any better! Modern rooms, comfy beds, mini bar (way expensive) really nice bathroom .. Very clean through out the hotel- never tried the food, although it looked amazing. Friendly staff.. We arrived early doors, however couldn't check in until 2pm. The whole as a cosy feel throughout, one side is traditional and the other side... More

This hotel is well situated near everything you'd want to be near in Reykjavik. Although there's no car park, the staff were helpful in guiding us to nearby parking which we had to pay for during the daytime hours we were there but wasn't too expensive (125 IK per hour). We arrived around 8.30pm and they were happy to fit... More

Hotel Reykjavik Centrum "looked good" on paper (well, on the internet, actually) and it proved to be so in actuality. The hotel is situated in the old part of town, and it is close to many fine restaurants (Fishmarket is two doors away!), museums (871+1/2 is right next door, and the National Museum of Iceland is two blocks away), great... Other than the fact that it was next to the 872+ 1/2 museum and in the heart of downtown I would never stay here again. The staff was terrible- not helpful or knowledgeable about where things were located. Only one person bothered to give me a city map and then he couldn't tell me where the restaurant I wanted to... Nice place and a block away from the noisy bars and restaurants that crowd downtown. Breakfast was included and probably one of the better ones we had. Staff was helpful and the bar was pleasant to be in.

Having looked at many hotels in Reykjavik ,I plumped for this one because it was slap bang in town. This proved to be a great choice as all the major chains are a taxi ride away ? We had room 230 which was on the roadside but not noisy ,however it was very warm even with the heating off ,we... More

Conveniently located, comfortable hotel with friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed our stay there and when there was travel disruption caused by the weather the staff were extremely helpful in seeking to accommodate us another night despite the hotel being initially full. Would definitely recommend the place.

When we arrived, our reservation had never been processed. This was not the fault of the Centrum- we booked through a third party tour company who never sent our prepaid reservation to the hotel! We were scared about not getting a room, since the hotel is so small, but the front desk was excellent about calling the tour company and... More
