Amazing location, just minutes away from everything but still quiet enough to not be distracting at night. I paid for the private bathroom but I'm not sure it was worth it. The shower was super tiny, I'm a female and had a hard time moving around in it and the water would switch from ice cold to scalding hot in... More

Adam Guesthouse/Adam Hotel is located near major tourist attractions of Reykjavik, starting with the Hallgrimskirja Church. It took me about 5 to 15 minutes to reach other tourist attractions such as downtown areas/Laugavegur, Harpa, Solfar, Parliament, City Hall, and Lutheran Church. I learned that it has 3 buildings. The first one (where I stayed is a hotel) while the other... More

Well, maybe ok room for that amount of money. (got a cheap room) I had read the judgements here so I didn´t expect anything nice. But almost clean room. Rather friendly staff. Ok service. Just do NOT bother to order breakfast... I can eat much but not this. The same eggslices on a plate three days in a row that... More

Let's be frank: This place isn't known for it's luxury. That being said it's really not that bad as all the reviews says. but why only 2/5 you ask? well... The bad stuff: We sayed here for new years eve and had a slight miscommunication via mail beforehand and ended paying up more than was planned. For the about 6... More

Stayed a couple of nights here whilst exploring Reykjavik. Room was OK, basic, small, but warm. Free wi-fi worked well. Had a kettle, toaster and fridge to make our own breakfast and, handily, there is a supermarket next door. Up the hill is the big church and down the hill is the main shops and restaurants so it is a... More

If you are prepared for a basic room with somewhat idiosyncratic facilities, then remind yourself about how cheap it is and its fantastic location, then you will be content. We had plates, cups, cutlery, glasses, a toaster, kettle - and a microwave on so high a shelf that we had to stand on a chair to make our porridge! The... More

The localisation of this htel is its only advantage : peaceful and next to the main street. Breakfast is not included in the price maybe because of the presence of the kitchen which is very dirty and not very furnished (only one spoon) ! The bathroom is dark and the shower broken. Need modernisation ! Doest desserve its 3 stars

This place is basic, but ok. We had an apartment which was a surprise as I thought it was a hotel, when we arrived on the transfer coach I didn't think much of the outside it's right next door to a supermarket with graffiti on the walls and I must admit my first thought was god where are we staying!!... What can I say, me and a couple of friends have lived at this amazing resort of make believe story tales which is advertised as some sort of cheap and great location ´hotel´. Let´s start of with the ´hotel´ false advertisement, it´s not even a hostel, or a guest house, the rooms are not heated, the walls are made of... More

Having seen all the negative reviews of this place I felt compelled to write something. The Adam hotel is remarkably cheap and in a great location. It certainly isn't the Ritz but has all the basics and is perfectly adequate accommodation. And to top it all, the manager is a major Icelandic film star! What more could you want? If... More
