Excellent location for all that the city has to offer. Shame about the charm-free room and brusque service. Adequate for all essential parameters, but certainly didn't contribute to making a good holiday. Best look elsewhere.

Convenient location to shopping and tourist offices. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great value for your money. Rooms have the basics amenities but location, price, and great staff is superb. Love my stay here.I travel alone and I feel very safe here.

We stopped here to check on northern nights tour. Lucas (from Slovakia) in the cafe was extremely helpful. Can vouch for hotel, but coffee, tea and Lucas rock. I see the reviews for the hotel are not so great. I can see by the set-up that the hotel seems to be an afterthought.

I have been here tiwce before May and September (2013), room 103 is the best , I was promissed to get that room for my three last days, the second time I came, but it`did not happend. I had a request for this room when I booked on Hotel.com, but It was not noticed. Try to mail directly to the "hostel... More

I came for a businesstrip and due to the tourism boom there was hardly room in Reyjkavik so I got to the Adam hotel. I can still say I was very lucky because I met the receptionsit the first day and we became friends, we still are friends. Apart from that: I can not understand how such places survive!

Just because it's a shared bath doesn't mean it should be crappy and tiny. Went to the day manager to complain that the bathroom flooded because the shower door was broken, would like more towels. He was very rude and tried to make me feel it was my fault for booking a shared bathroom.

We were not in the main building but in an annex on Lokastigur so I can't comment on the main building. We had been told by the booking service that we could check in at any time. This was not the case as the office closed at midnight and we arrived after that. We were annoyed but it was not... More

I booked a room with private facilities. It was basically what I would expect from a budget hotel. The room was clean, the bed was ok, and the facilities worked. As many other reviewers have said, the location is terrific. I wasn't wowed, but I didn't expect to be, and I didn't experience any of the problems other people have... More

Amazing location, just minutes away from everything but still quiet enough to not be distracting at night. I paid for the private bathroom but I'm not sure it was worth it. The shower was super tiny, I'm a female and had a hard time moving around in it and the water would switch from ice cold to scalding hot in... More

Adam Guesthouse/Adam Hotel is located near major tourist attractions of Reykjavik, starting with the Hallgrimskirja Church. It took me about 5 to 15 minutes to reach other tourist attractions such as downtown areas/Laugavegur, Harpa, Solfar, Parliament, City Hall, and Lutheran Church. I learned that it has 3 buildings. The first one (where I stayed is a hotel) while the other... More
