Guesthouse AdaM is situated at realy nice location in Downtown Reykjavik. But this is the only good thing! It was very dificult to find the entrance, because it is not actualy at the Skolavordustigur street. By the entrance to the guesthouse was a mess and big hole full of trash and other stuff. Rooms are nice, but the service of... more

My friend and I were on a tight budget when visiting Iceland so we booked this place -despite terrible reviews- becasue it was the cheapest accomodation we found (16 cdn dollars a night split between two people). When we got there, check-in wasn't till 2pm but the owner let us leave all our bags in the foyer until check-in. The... more

Iceland was one of the most beautiful places we’ve stayed. Everyone was nice and openhearted except for one guy: The owner of the Adam Guesthouse. This man was the most unfriendly almost hostile person we’ve met in this beautiful country. He welcomed us with the words: “Why are you so early?” (we arrived at 1 p.m.) His second sentence of... more

I haven`t stayd in this hostel, but now I know that I am deffinitely not going to. I have tried to find out the conditions of a car rental with Adam car rental, so I wrote an e-mail asking for the conditions and insurance. I got a reply - copy from the web site. Then I wrote again, what kind... more

Dear All, It is our honest advise to try avoid staying at Adam Hostel at all costs. We had boked this hostel and tried to confirm the reservation and all other details by calling them. The person who answered was very rude, refused to provide us with any informatio. As a result, we had to cancel the reservation since we... more

The main problem with the hotel is that the bathroom is poorly ventilated and the water on the floor is not draining properly. The bathroom actually has a rubber wipe for pushing the water into the drain or else the floor is constantly wet. Yes you're expected to do this yourself after showering. When I asked the owner if we... more

Rudest guy I've ever met at a hotel. The place stunk. It was a rip off. About the only remotely decent thing is location, and the shop downstairs, so you could get a bottle of water. Bathroom was shared, and putrid. This is a hostel at best. And as a hostel it would be ok. But then it should be... more

This was without doubt the worst experience I have ever had in a Hotel/Guesthouse/Public Toilet. The rooms were small (2 meters wide with two single beds) The sides were higher than the matterss and therefore every few hours when you turned in your sleep you smashed your face on the edge. They were filthy (they seemed to add dirt daily). It... more

Adam Guesthouse is situated at a convenient location. It's on the street running down from the famous church- Hallgrimskirkja, and you can even walk from the BSI Bus Terminal. There is a convenient store next to the guesthouse. We arrived at 24:30, and the lady who let us in was very nice. However, after that we didn't see much of... more
