The Hotel was organised by the Ice Hockey Tournament we were playing in so didn't know too much about it beforehand. Upon arrival the polite and well spoken receptionist found our booking and gave us our key. Our room, 313, took a bit of finding (the Fron is made up of 3 adjacent buildings) and was actually located outside of... More

It was great being located in amongst all of the shops, cafe's and bars but my room was a bit tired....the kitchenette is good and a nice offering but my room was out the back away from the main building and there wasn't much light. The bed's could do with an update as well as the decor. but great breakfast... More

We just spent four nights at the Hotel Fron and were very pleased. The location couldn't have been better. We were able to walk to almost everything. Our room was quiet and while not large was plenty big with a refrigerator and microwave. The breakfast was adequate. What impressed us though about this hotel was the staff. They went out... More

We have stopped for a few days on Iceland, on way home from US. We picked up hotel based on trip advisor recommendation and have not failed. It is very very central and cheap hotell, with huge rooms (almost flat:). Hotell is very nordic in style, stuff is very very kind , polite and friendly. Good breakfast included. From here... More

I totally agree with all the other reviewers. The hotel is located just on the most popular street downtown Reykjavik. Just as you exit, you have immediate access to all the interesting places in the town ( restaurants, bars, sights ). The room was large enough, clean, well equipped ( including a kitchenette ) and simply but nicely decorated. The... More

This hotel is located on the main street of the old town which is very charming. It is within walking distance to most city sights. The room we stayed in was fine but quite basic which suited us. The hotel has secure parking which was great for us as we had a car. The wifi is free but the service... More

Hotel Fron is located in a very good location in Reykjavik, you can walk everywhere that matters. We enjoyed the best room while in Iceland! the room was like a small apartment that included a kitchenette and a living room with a sofa bed. The hotel includes both, breakfast which is very good and internet. The staff is very nice... More

You can't beat the location for Hotel Fron: right on Laugavegur. We booked this room on Expedia, but called ahead and requested a room with a true double bed (a hot commodity in Iceland). We were astonished to find that they actually put us in a two-bedroom apartment for two nights! It was very nice. Tucked away from the street... More

Arrived very early in the day and our room was not ready. Within half an hour, a room was cleaned for us. To our surprise, we were upgraded to a suite. Our room had a separate bedroom with a very comfortable bed. The main room had a couch, desk, t.v., small kitchen table, and a kitchenette. The kitchenette included a... More

My wife and I stayed here for one night on our way to Europe. It was perfect for what we were looking for. It's right in the middle of a popular street with a lot of restaurants, shops, and cafes. The hotel's location makes it very easy to walk to the harbor, the Opera house, and other Iceland sites. The... More
