We stayed here for three nights and thought the staff were very friendly, helpful and spoke perfect English. They gave us honest advice on the chances of seeing the northern lights which we appreciated as they could have easily have tried to sell us tours just to make the sales. The hostel is in a good location and only 5 minutes... We stayed for three nights, which was an over all okish experience. I have to say the beds/ blankets were very comfy and cosy, while that all that I can rave about.. the wifi was poor and kept losing its signal, breakfast is very basic, and noise traveled easly through the building. Other than that our room was toasty, semi... More

We have stayed in hostels before, this one is excellent for the price. We were staying for a week, and were given a large room, which was comfortable and clean. No issues with the showers and toilets, as we were always able to access them when needed. There was a well equipped kitchen in our block, some reviewers mentioned that... More

The hostel is at a quite good location where we needed only 5min walk to the Hallgrímskirkja church and just on the main road to go out of the city to all the icelandic tourist destinations as well as Keflavik airport. We hired a car during our stay and the parking is easy and free. Though the reception office only... More

Excellent location on one edge of downtown, a nice walk through the main shopping street or a short walk down to the sea with the Mountains in view as you walk. Excellent hostel accommodation with really clean, warm rooms, friendly staff who are helpful and cheery. Shared bath/shower room is the only minor thing although they are kept really clean... More

Compared to the many other hostels where I have stayed this one is fairly depressing. I stayed here in a private single in November for a few nights. I had early starts planned each day, and with the reception only being open from 08:00 to 16:00 there was never anyone around until the day I left. The spartan rooms are... More

We stayed here for about 5 nights and it was a really good experience. The room was small but it's a hostel so you expect that; but we didn't have to share a dorm it was our own room with super comfortable beds and pillows and really warm! There were 2 bathrooms on our "floor" (I say floor but it's... More
