We tried the restaurant at the hotel and it was fantastic. The chef (Hakon Mar) is a genius with seafood and the food for this group of 13 people was amazing. They had a small but good vine selection and variety of local and global beer. We highly recommend this restaurant and it is centrally located.

We staid one night straight from the airport. It was great. The location is fantastic especially for our first day as we are close to the restaurants but also to a large supermarket (where you can fill your car for the upcoming long trip) and shops where you can buy the winter gears that you may have forgotten. The rooms... More

101 Hotel is lovely chic boutique hotel in the fairly unchic, unboutique-y city of Reykjavik. For that alone, it stands out. The pros: The decor is sharp and modern, the food and drink in the bar were top-notch. The room was comfortable (though had a very open plan design and fairly exposed toilet and shower). I was there in early... More

Indeed a very good location but it is extremely overpriced. Service is also good and warm. There were much better or similar hotels with cheaper rates and almost of the same level of 101. On the whole the hotel was average. The deluxe rooms were very small and suffocating. Anyone travelling to Iceland there are much better options available than... More

We just stayed there for a week. It is in a good location, clean and well maintained. We spent about $600 per night. The staff is polite and helpful. We did have issues as follows: 1- The car reserved and confirmed through the hotel did not show up to pick us up at the airport. The charge was still on... More

This is a modern boutique hotel in a very central location. I would stay here again if I returned to Reykjavik, but a few negatives. The rooms are small. We were cramped in the room with our luggage and the bathroom was also small. The walls were also very thin. We could here cars going by outside and people talking... More

Most Icelandic rooms are small, but this one is pretty good sized. There is the unfortunate layout and furniture choice, but overall, the room is good. The bed is large and comfortable, and that is the most important thing. There is a bathtub in the middle of the room that would have been better to put a little sofa. There... More

I highly recommend this hotel if it's in your budget. Clean, modern, stylish, comfortable and centrally located. The beds and linens are fantastically comfortable and the rooms are comfortable and well appointed although the bathrooms have no privacy. The lobby bar and restaurant are comfortable and decent, the gym is well done but minimal, and the staff friendly.

A few things that would have made our stay so much better seeing that we were paying ~£400 a night. 1. Their toilet door is so useless that it felt that every time someone goes to the bathroom we could know exactly what the other person was doing. 2. The shower temperature is incredibly moody, it just changes without touching... More
