Had an excellent stay! Location is perfect, steps from Reykjavik's night life. Room was spacious and cozy with Marvelous bathroom. Loved the floor to ceiling mirrors in the shower.. Staff were friendly and breakfast was delicious. An extra power socket could have been useful. My room had only one and I had to crawl under the desk to reach it.... More

Spending part of our honeymoon in Reykjavik at 101 Hotel we thoroughly enjoyed the luxurious atmosphere and the thought through design experience. We also enjoyed the very good restaurant recommendations. We will definitely come back!

101 Hotel iss a beautiful hotel! This was our first trip to Iceland, and it will definitely not be our last. We loved Reykjavik! We were upgraded to stay here due to a mistake in over-booking at our originally booked hotel "Natura Icelandair Hotel" through a travel package. We were very pleasantly surprised. Our room was on the top floor... More

Pitch dark corridors, no private shelves for clothes or toiletries, wet out door clothing had to hang on the same rail as evening wear and business clothes. Large jacuzzi pool, but only a few very week jets of water. Only 1 private shower in spa area, others had to stand naked in Central shower. Over priced. There was no apology... More

We stayed here twice for one night at the beginning and the end of a trip to Iceland. We arrived late at night--early morning, actually--and were made most welcome both at the front desk and by the person who took us up to our room. A tiny elevator (not good for claustrophobics!) but it's an easy walk up even to... More

My husband and I were so excited to visit Reykjavic and stay at 101 Hotel in the middle downtown. We landed this morning, taxied to the hotel and were greeted by tremendous noise. When we asked the clerk in the lobby he apologetically explained their were building immediately next door, in fact, drilling pilings! The noise was so harsh we... More

I stayed at 101 for my first two nights in Iceland and it was a perfect way to start the vacation. The location is central which meant there were great restaurants and bars right outside the door and there is even easy parking nearby which is useful if you're renting a car for the next part of your adventure. 101... Great location in the heart of the shopping area. Friendly staff and very accommodating -- we checked in at noon. Our room was on the 4th floor overlooking the ocean. Above average in size and a nice shower. Aveda bath products. Trendy lounge and bar area with models for staff, but you pay for it. It's probably one of the... More

Beautiful decor and helpful front desk reception but we were kept awake by the very boozy scene at the bar. Great breakfast but overall very high ticket ($550. Per night) for a minimalist room on 2nd floor. Great linens but thin mattress and no soaking tub.

This is my second stay at 101 after having had a great experience in the winter of 2008. While the hotel is just slightly showing its age now 6 years later, it is mostly in terrific shape and as luxurious and comfortable to stay at as it was then. In particular I had no sightseeing plans, and the front desk... More
