We recently spent 4 days 3 nights at this hotel. The rooms were not ready until the afternoon so they allowed us to store our luggage and tour the city. If you check in early, take advantage of the hotels breakfast rather than walking around the city to look for a place to eat. There are not a lot of... More

We recently spent three nights at this hotel. Check in was quick and although we were early, as our room was ready, we were given the keys. Our room was clean and cosy, a small telly, coffee, tea, kettle, wardrobe, small table and a chair, all we needed for a short stay. The bathroom was fine but there were no... More

Good hotel, typical of the 3* hotels I stay in when travelling. Rooms were large and we had a view of the sea, despite not paying extra for this. Our room was nice and warm which we appreciated when it was snowing outside. Great location, around a 10 minute walk to the harbour. Slightly chaotic when we arrived but we... More

Myself and a friend stayed here for 3 nights at the end of March. The hotel is clean and comfortable and in a great location. We had a room with a kitchenette (room 107), which was very handy. The staff are really helpful and efficient about changing tours etc. The buffet breakfast has everything you need. There is a supermarket... More

Stayed here with friends 21-24 March 2014 and had a great time. We had quaint old style bed and furnishings in room with dormer windows (room 221 & 223) and shower was fab: pleasantly warm and easy to operate although it took us a while to work out the sulphur smell came from the naturally thermally heated water - and... Hotel is in a good location just across from the sea walk and sculpture, so a scenic walk into town particularly if you are going to go around the harbour area. If you want shops, firstly there is a supermarket at the back of the hotel but even better, if you go up to the main street and go centre... More

Not a fancy hotel but comfy beds, small but adequate bathroom, friendly staff and lovely breakfast - what's not to like? We upgraded to a harbour view which was nice, and happy hour in the bar proved very popular at Kr 500 for a pint of Gull. Main Street is 2 mins up the hill - eldhus kitchen (Nepalese restaurant)... There was someone at the front desk at all hours (I didn't realize how uncommon that was in Iceland!). They were able to reserve a rental car for us. Breakfast included (with waffles!). The room was clean and we had a great view of the water with the mountains in the background.
