I booked a package deal and opted for this hotel due to its convenient location next to high street! It's a warm inviting hotel, great views of the sea front across the road and perfectly located yards away from the main shops! The staff are amazing and helpful, they even put on a decent breakfast at 4.00am before my departure!... More

Stayed here 9th-11thDec on Icelander package. Had read mixed reviews but went with an open mind and were more than happy with our stay. We found we had been upgraded at no extra cost and were on the 5th floor where we had a view of the harbour (and mountains too when the sky was clear). A very pleasant young... More

Visited Iceland for the first time in November 2014 and stayed at the Fosshotel Baron in Reykjavik. We stayed here for 3 nights; buffet breakfast with loads of choice but what we hadn't known in advance was that the rooms were all set out for self-catering. We had a huge room with 2 hotplates, microwave, kettle, plates, cups, glasses. I'd... More

We had 2 nights here 2-4 December. Check in staff were friendly & professional, room was clean, comfortable & warm, we stayed on 4th floor & there was no noise. Breakfast was fantastic, a real treat to start the day lots of hot & cold choices. We hired a car and the car parking infront of the hotel was great,... More

Hotel is close to the sea front and ideally placed for shops and restaurants. Hotel was clean , staff were efficient and room whilst small was ideal for our weekend break. Breakfast was plentiful and a good variety. Plenty of different types of herring if you like that sort of thing . Shower cubicle small with the specially adhesive curtain... More

Stayed 4 days on a groupon deal. Hotel clean, staff extremely helpful regarding recommendations for tours as well as Resturants. Breakfast was rather nice with all very fresh baked goods as well as meats, fish, eggs, cereals and great coffee!

Stayed 4 days in the hotel. The hotel was part of the deal of the Travel Zoo. Clean, amazing breakfast, buzzing place with 10 mins walk to the shops and restaurants.. most of the receptionist staff were miserable(was it the weather!)

We stay as part of a package and was really disappointed with the hotel. Its very tired and needs a good update .. The rooms are very basic and the room have a small shower with a curtain which doesn't do anything and everywhere gets flooded.. The rooms are very uninviting on arrival with singles quilts on 2 single beds... More

We stayed in this hotel as a part of an Islandair package to see the northern lights (which we didn't see, but that's not the hotels fault). Our room with a side (street) view on the fourth floor, was clean and adequately, but basically furnished. The safe seemed to have been removed, which was a bit annoying. The bathroom was... More

I stay there often if I need a place to sleep when I am working in Reykjavik or in short visit. Verry central, free privat parking and good breakfast. Nice staff, rooms clean and nothing to complaint about. Housed partly in old candyfactory and partly in verry old barn but compleatly renovated. Fairly priced hotel in a quiet part in... More
