I and my friends booked the 7-day go around Iceland package through the hotel website. the price was attractive and they arranged different FossHotes located around Iceland. Our first stay was at FossHotel Baron Reykjavik. FossHotel Baron Reykjavik is just so basic, clean and tidy. It is just a place for you to shower, sleep and go. Nothing to expect.... More

We stayed at the Baron for four days in Oct 2014. The hotel is basic but I cannot fault the cleanliness of the rooms and the dedication of the staff. The reception staff were so helpful with booking tours for us and giving directions and handy information when asked. The breakfast was great and varied with both hot and cold... More

Was very disappointed by this stay after reading reviews. I realize that all hotels in Iceland are ridiculously expensive, but nonetheless I felt that this hotel really needs some significant work before it can be recommended. The toilet was problematic (the flush being broken), the shower was extremely hard to control and caused burning (the off tap didn't seem to... More

Not a bad little hotel, but in need of updating and a good lick of paint zero facilities during the day, can't even buy a coffee and no where to sit other than in your room or a very windy reception area. Room was lovely and warm and the view from the 5th floor was beautiful (mountains) - paid an... More

I have had a wonderful weekend in Reyjavik - which was at no thanks to the Fosshotel Baron. I booked the holiday through Icelandair direct and the Fosshotel Baron was one of the choices - as this was central to all amenities and close to the sea and harbour - I thought it was a good choice. On arrival at... More

Second stay at the hotel. Brilliant location near centre of town, near supermarket, Dominos and a fast food place. Room this time was small and in the eaves, but we loved it. The furniture was really nice and the bathroom was small but perfectly adequate. Nice powerful shower. Only downsides - not much storage space and paper cups in room... More

Stayed here in March 2014 with Icelandair. The check in took a long time as there was only one small check-in desk and one member of staff. The rooms were a bit tired and dated but the bathroom was clean. We asked for a harbour view and it is worth having. The staff were extremely helpful if we needed anything... More

I have to admit when we first arrived at the hotel, after an issue with our booking and a misunderstanding at reception, we weren't too happy. However, after going to speak to the staff again they did their best to rectify everything and went over and above to help us. We found that they were all really friendly throughout our... More

A short walk from the main shopping and food area of the city. Clean, warm, comfortable, perfect for a short break. Friendly staff, enough choice at breakfast, happy hour 5 til 7 in the hotel bar. Helpful reception.

We stayed here for four nights at the end of September, start of October. It's basic but clean and tidy. Location is great for the main areas, and the breakfast has everything you could want. The reception staff are friendly and very helpful.
