I had a reservation at a different hotel and moved here because of overbooking on the first one. The guy in reception has a clear attitude problem, seems to be bothered by questions. I just spent three nights at the Baron (Icelandair package). Clean, comfortable, basic accommodations - good value, no complaints whatsoever. I checked in around 7:30 a.m. after an overnight North American flight and was assessed no early check-in fee. Tours can be booked easily with the desk staff. Booked this hotel as a package from Icelandair. We arrived at the hotel at 7:30am and were told that checkin was at 4:00pm or if you prefer you can pay $30 to check in early (whatever).
