I stayed at this "guesthouse" in summer 2007, on the weekend of the Reykjavik marathon & "Culture Night". Travelling with a friend, we booked a twin room online, in the full knowledge that this place was some distance from the centre of the city & thus required a bus journey to and from. must admit this guest house was peaceful,clean, tidy and a great hot pot,, peaceful its a 10 minute drive into downtown reykjavik.host is especially helpful,friendly,knowlegable about activities,restaurants.may i add thers a bus stop if needed especially for a dinning/fun night out in town

In my search for less-expensive lodging, I came upon this guesthouse. It's very basic with about 12 rooms. The innkeeper is very friendly. The rooms are more spacious than some other European rooms, with a kitchen. The shared bath is coed. Only 2 shower stalls, but I never had to wait. A minus for me was the noise. Hard surfaces...
