We stayed as a couple over a weekend in early March and we found the hotel great. I'd done a bit of 'trip advisoring' before we left and had heard that it was situated just off the main tourist street but close enough to get to the main shops, bars etc and that is true. It's ideal as remains quiet... More

Arrived and was warmly greeted by the reception staff (who all speak excellent English). Was given the key to our room - which was large, spacious and modern. The bathroom however was very small and shower cubicle cramped. I banged my elbows everyday trying to wash my hair which became quite frustrating. Also the key kept falling off the keyring... More

We booked this hotel for a recent one week stay in Reykjavik. Unusually for us, the booking was not based on previous reviews, but on cost limitations for our trip and the fact breakfast was included. We didn't really know what to expect, but we were very pleased. I would have scored the hotel 5*, but there were a couple... More

This is one of the most pleasant and comfortable hotels in Reykjavík...a classic boutique property made comfortable through warm Scandinavian decor and a pleasant and friendly staff. I first stayed at Odinsve 18 years ago, and it's as comfortable and homey and well located now as it was back then. It's had a number of renovations and improvements over the... More

If the hotel management got themselves together this could be a fantastic hotel. We had a large room with a view on the third floor which was fine but terribly sparse - no pictures and not even a head board on the bed. There was a wardrobe but not one drawer. I know Scandi style is minimalist but this was... More

A lovely clean, well maintained hotel which is in the perfect location for exploring Reykjavik- a 2 minute walk gets you to the main shopping street. The receptionist was incredibly helpful, especially as I had left our paper work for trips etc at home- there is a pc and printer which was a relief! The room was basic- smart, simple... More

I have just returned from a 3 night trip to Iceland, where we stayed at the Hotel Odinsve. The hotel is in a quiet location that is perfect for the main shopping street in Reykjavíc. Just a 5 minute walk gets you to the heart of Reykjavíc. The rooms were modern, clean and well serviced. The reception staff were knowledgable... More

We stayed here for 5 nights at the beginning of March. Check in was smooth, the staff are very helpful on the desk and willing to help you book any trips or tours. If you've already booked they will also ring them and check if your tour is running, we had some tripped cancelled due to the extreme weather. Most... More

This smal hotel with a personal touch is situated perfectly in the middle of the trendiest area of R. Fantastic restaurant, and loads of other great eateries close by. Lively shopping streets, small cafes with funky breakfasts as well. Comfortable warm rooms even with howling snowstorms outside, well-appointed bathrooms, efficient and friendly service. Would definitely come back on our next... More

The hotel room was small and comfortable which suited me perfectly as I am small and I was travelling solo. Centrally located which is easy walking distance to many of the shops and attractions. The lovely female receptionist was very helpful with booking me on another trip when other trips were cancelled or changed due to the winter weather. That... More
