The hotel and its staff demonstrated the best in hospitality and personal care. We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. Our room was adequate and basic, clean and comfortable. Our son and his family had a family room consisting of one large room and a sleeping loft, quite nice. The hotel is well located and a short walk to... More

Stayed at the Hotel Odinsve in July with my 3 children. Excellent value, friendly staff, clean rooms and a really great Bar & Bistro where we ate very happily on 3 occaisions. Highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Reykjavik as it is also very central for all activities.

+ Location is excellent. + Nice lobby and room staff (german Rebecca and the other blond ladies) + Nice lobby design - Interior design of rooms is a joke! We stayed there two times (before and after our trip around the island) and had different rooms. Both rooms lacked of any space to store luggage - and no, for two... More

hotel rooms seem to tend towards small in iceland, and this is no exception but it was clean and the location was perfect, the staff was extremely helpful and overall it was a good experience. We recommend.

This is my second night here. I would rate this two star, if you consider a Hampton Inn as 3 star. The rooms are tiny and Spartan. The bathroom is miniature (pictures are of room 311). The room and bath seem clean enough. However there is barely enough room to move about for two people. I took the chair out... More

Spent one day at this hotel in Reykjavik. The positives: Hotel is (fairly) well-located in the city; restaurants and landmarks are nearby. The day staff was cordial. The negatives: Room was NOT well-cleaned when we arrived. Hair was on bathroom floor. Shower did not function properly; wand worked, main shower did not. Lost power in our room three times (first... We spent one night here on July 01...first night of a 23 day stay in Iceland. Hotel is very well located..a two minute walk to one of the main shopping streets and 15 to 20 minutes to old harbour. Lots of restaurants within walking distance and close to harbour tours and toursit info offices. We found the staff to be... More

I was in Reykjavik in March and I was able to book this hotel at a very reasonable rate. It was much less than the major American hotel chain in town and was located centrally in town. I'd definitely stay here again. I gave it a very good rating for the value, cleanliness, proximity to downtown, and friendliness of staff.... More

The hotel is in a very central part of Reykjavik, within easy walking distance from the main tourist sites. There are also quite a few good restaurants close by including the Sjavargrillid Seafood Grill. They also have their own restaurant which is, apparently, very good. I didn't manage to try it as I was only there for 2 nights and... More

I ended up spending the night at the Odinsve after my GPS misdirected me back to Reykjavik when I was supposed to go another direction. I had just stayed at a guesthouse for 3 nights a block away, and had eaten at the excellent and popular Snaps bistro restaurant at the hotel every night. I had seen the room an... More
