First the room - quite small, but very clean, with efficient heating. The bed was firm and the pillows plump. The evening meal was superb, and the lobster bisque was the best I've ever tasted. The breakfast offered a good choice of continental, with the usual cheeses, jams etc. I was given a warm welcome and right up to my... more

This hotel is great value. The breakfast is really lovely. It is a continental style and the pickled herring was delicious and so is the coffee. The rooms are small but for the price you pay and the purpose of our stay they were ideal. The reception staff are so helpful and will happily ring round for you if required.... more

We had decided to get married in Reykjavik after visiting here in 1998. We were married in the Hallgrimskirkja Church on June 13 at 4 pm, so the Odinsve was an ideally located hotel to stay and hold the Wedding Reception. We booked one of the roof top rooms with a balcony. The room was very nice and very clean,... more

Ideally located for visiting all the sights of Reykjavík, the Odinsve is fair priced hotel. Not sure where the 4* comes from, but it's standard is of a 3* northern European Hotel. Breakfast was fine, continental only. Very clean accomadation, sheets and towels changed daily. Quiet neighbourhood even though beside 101 district. I would recommend for returning. more

Hotel Odinsve was the perfect base for our week in Iceland. It's one street away from the main drinking/eating/shopping street but far enough away that it's pretty quiet at night. The rooms weren't huge but comfortable, warm and clean. There is wireless but we were right at the end of a corridor and the signal was weak. There is limited... more

This hotel is a gem in a great location in Reykjavik, just a short walk through charming streets to the main shopping and cultural areas. It was also quiet and restful. My daughter and I shared a fourth floor corner room with a great view of the harbor. I would suggest a sleep mask, however, as the windows allowed plenty... more

We had a room on the top floor that had a balcony that went around on two sides. Gorgeous views of the city, ocean, and mountains. Walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Awesome customer service. Can't wait to go back! more

This hotel was good. Location is a little off the beaten path, but is pretty good. The rooms were very small, but adequate. I would stay here again next time. more

We stayed for five days in one of the loft suites and were very comfortable. The room was clean tidy, well decorated and maintained. With the suite there was enough space for the three of us and while bathroom was not huge (shower no bath) it was enough for our needs. Room was quiet with view across the street. My... more

Hotel Odinsve was the last Hotel stop on our self-drive holiday and my husband and I stayed for one night. Our stay didn't get off to a good start, as we had to change rooms. The first room we were given, although billed as non-smoking, previous occupants clearly hadn't appreciated this fact as there was a distinct smell of smoke... more
