Clean basic room with comfortable bed. In a fantastic location. Breakfast consisted of wholemeal and wry breads, crackers & digestives, various meats, choice of 3 cereals (1) museli, (2) cornflakes and (3) cheerios, choice of 2 fruit juices, selection of teas and coffees, various jams and a popular waffle machine. Staff were helpful, pleasant and polite. During our wait between... More

Stayed here with my girlfriend (both 24) for 6 nights in Feb 2011, read some pretty bad reviews and was at first worried about what the room would be like. However, the room was spacious, tidy and cleaned daily. Fridge worked fine, everything in the bathroom was fine, beds were OKAY. We had a nice big window to let in... More

I stayed there for 3 nights in November 2011. Need to mention that most of the reviews are correct. The hotel needs updating and proper refurbishment. The rooms are small, beds are narrow and some new & fresh bedding and towels will do. There was a TV in the room which I tried to watch but there was a problem... More

We chose this hotel because it was close to the center and it was not much expensive, but we found many things not working properly: - rooms were dirty, walls had wide stains of damp, bathroom and shower were not cleaned well and some traces of previous guests were still present; - hair dryer was not available in the room... This isn't a three star hotel it is a one star. The bedrooms are tiny and the walls paper thin. Every morning woken by neighbouring alarms and washing noises and talking. Breakfast is horrible, cheapest meat, orange squash and nasty liquid coffee flavoured drink machine. Bathrooms are nasty, no ventillation, no room to sit on toilet due to wall, hot... More

I spent at Metropolitan 5 days...Room was small, no wardrobe, bed sheet wasn't changed when I came!! Bathroom was also small and little bit dirty (couple of hair in the bath). Room service visited my room after 4 days. Nobody changed towels even bin. When I went away at the airport, staff forgot order bus (the day before) and when... More

Lovely breakfast and good staff. Room a bit basic but for the price and location cannot be beaten. Near some good value restaurants. More

How can I complain for paying only $48 for two for a functional room with comfortable clean bed + a private bathroom with good hot shower plus access to coffee machine 24hrs, and includes breakfasts, simple but adequate* The location is more in residential area. I stayed in the room right facing the street and on 2nd floor but it... More

Like many previous reviewers we checked in, got to our room, and thought, no way! As our flight was delayed we didn't arrive until the very early hours so just collapsed on the bed, determined to find another hotel in the morning. By the next day we'd decided to stay a couple of nights then treat ourselves to a proper... More

Perfect location, only a 30 second walk to the heart of the city cetre whist still being situated on a quiet street. breakfast adequate consists of waffles, cereal, toast, cheese, ham and as much coffee, tea and drinks as you require. The rooms are TINY with VERY little storage space and a small bathroom. Staff are friendly and knowledgable. this... More
