Nice hotel, nice clean rooms. Hairdryer ridiculous. The pool was small and needs an upgrade, but it was free and still nice (also a sauna and Jacuzzi too). Staff was friendly. The hotel is just outside the city, but cabs are cheap and the hotel has a free shuttle bus. Breakfast was ok. I liked this hotel! more

We got a good package deal through Icelandair which included flights, accommodation in the Loftleidir Hotel and a Northern Lights tour. Unfortunately as the weather was very wet and windy the tour was cancelled on Sat so we were moved to Sunday's tour but that was cancelled too. Stayed here for 4 nights from the 20/2 on an Icleandair package deal. When we got there checked in no bother but got up to the room to find we'd been given a twin instead of the double we had booked. Went back down to reception and there were no doubles left so we were upgraded no problem to one... more

Had a 3 night stay here. Next to the City airport, which only serves Icelandic Domestic traffic, so only the smaller aircraft are in and out - not too much noise really, and none at night. Nice rooms but with the airport at the other side of your window a bit more attention to soundproofing would have been nice! Although there were no flights in the small hours of night they did start again at an almighty early hour. On the plus side the car-rental companies are very close by, advantage of sleeping at an airport.... more
