After reading the prior reviews we were concerned about the Park Hotel. However we found it to be modern, the room surprisingly spacious and the breakfast quite good and complete. The staff was courteous and helpful. We had a nice view of the harbour. In spite of staying over on a Friday night there was no noise - the Broadway... more

We stayed here for one week. The room was ok and was what we expected from a three-star-hotel. The size was also fine. The furniture had some traces of use, but it was still ok. The bathroom was 3-star-standard or even a bit above. During our first night we almost did not sleep at all as our room was at... more

This was our second trip to Reykjavik and we stayed here because it was at the other end of the city that we hadn't seen before. We spent two days here. We stayed here because it was on the frequent flyer list of hotels with Icelandair. Before they had booked us in at SAS Raddison. We should have gone back... more

Decided to book a suite at the Park Inn having seen the pictures on their website, beware this is very misleading! The furniture was c1960s (at least in style if not quite in age) and our first suite Room 708 (aka 'the Greenhouse') was nowhere near the 50m cited in the advertising literature. All of this however paled into relative... more

We stayed at this hotel for 9 nights and it was mostly OK except that one night we were not able to get any sleep. The reason was that there was some sort of event at the Broadway club and the entire hotel was shaking. It was extremely loud even though we were on the 4th floor. No earplugs could... more

I stayed here with my family in two rooms for 10 days in July of 2006. I have nothing but good things to say about the hotel. It was kept immaculately clean. The staff speaks excellent English and is extremely courteous. One staff member, Ausgir, is memorable for his help, courtesy, and fluency in English. While it is a bit... more

We stayed at this hotel as a family in Feb 2008 (2 children, 8 and 11 years old) and had an ok experience, what you would expect from a 3* hotel some way out of the city, on 3 of the 4 nights. BUT beware the Broadway nightclub is situated directly under the hotel and on one night, in spite... more

A decent hotel that was affordable (less than £600 for 6 days which isn't too bad in Reykjavik). Rooms were a good size and the mini bars have enough room for you to store snacks and food in which is really handy for saving on meals. The only downside is its location to the city centre (about a 20 minute... more

Stayed at the Park Island Inn in the beginning of Sept 2007 for 3 nights. The hotel was clean and staff very friendly. It is a bit of a walk to the downtown area and taxi's are expensive. If you don't mind a 15-20 minute walk inorder to save a few dollars this hotel is probably a good choice. They... more
