Originally I booked this hotel through Radisson and then it became independent so I rebooked and saved about 50% through Booking.com (sorry TripAdvisor). We had a room high up with a wonderful view (when not cloudy or raining!). The room was comfortable and warm with a small kitchenette. Breakfast was included which was plentiful. Staff were friendly. It is easy... More

We booked this hotel through Easyjet as it was a little bit out of the city so convenient for parking and accessing the East of the country. It clearly states on the booking that we were to stay in a Park Inn by Radisson. When we arrived at the airport for the transfer, we were told that the hotel was... More

We (three couples) just returned after a 5 day stay at the Hotel Island. As other reviewers had mentioned there was construction work going on, about which we were warned. We were not affected by this in any way. The rooms were a good size and clean. The linen was changed as and when we requested and free wi fi... More

As everyone else has noted recently this hotel is undergoing renovations. Our travel agent had let us know this, so we were prepared. The noise never started before 8.30, and most days didn't start before 9. It was always over by 5 pm. We had emailed the day before our stay to request two adjacent rooms for ourselves and our... Location of the hotel is ok, about 20 -30 mins walk to the centre which is not so bad. Breakfast is decent enough and has enough to fill you up. Rooms are very basic, no shampoo or conditioner or shower caps for ladies. I didnt event find a hair dryer. The bed sheets were not changed or dusted off when... More

Good Hotel, warm and clean and very helpful staff. We took another tripadviser's advice and asked for a kettle when we got there and were given plenty of tea coffee and milk, although we did buy fresh milk from the supermarket and kept it in the fridge in the room. The room was a very good size with twin beds... More

I (single) had a pleasant one week stay in this hotel. My room was big and comfy with LCD TV and free WiFi. Helpfull staff too. Breakfast was abundant and with great variety (I am a big eater). Only minor point is its relative distance to the city center but then again, it´s good for a healthy walk. Recommended!

Even though there is a renovation going on, it's barely noticeable. The works go on during the day so you're not likely to be in anyway - you're in iceland you should be exploring! The staff are very helpful and can't do enough to help. The rooms are a little dated but immaculate, Once the renovations are complete it is... More

The hotel itself is basic but comfortable enough and clean. There are renovations going on but they didn't affect us. We did ask for an upgrade but I'm pretty sure we didn't get one, no tea/coffee making facilities in the room but we asked and reception provided us with a kettle etc. The lady on reception was super friendly, if... I booked a twin room for myself and my sister and another room for my Dad for 3 nights at this hotel using Groupon for a long weekend in February. The rooms were both large but fairly old with ageing furniture and carpets - stains could be seen on both. However the beds, pillows and bed sheets were brand new... More
