We visited Reykjavik in April 2006. We stayed at the Fosshotel Lind in the city centre. This hotel was very clean, the staff were really pleasant and helpful and it was so centrally located. We also got a very good deal for room and breakfast. They also organised all our trips including the Blue Lagoon and the Gold Circle Tour,... more

I only stayed at the Lind one night, but found it to be a great deal in Reykjavik. I have stayed in a much smaller room for the same price, in a place with far fewer amenities for the same price, and in no better location for the same price. The staff here was most professional and courteous, and the... more

I was on an Iceland Air package and opted to spend a bit more for a much better location. You can virtually walk to everything and tour buses stop at hotel door. If you can spend just a bit more, Fosshotel Baron has spectacular views of the bay and mountains and is a few blocks away. Rooms are small and... more

We stayed at the Lind for our honeymoon to Iceland in July 2005. It was certainly not what one would think of as a typical honeymoon suite (we were not expecting anything like that anyway!) Yes, the room was small with average accomodations, but it was very clean and served our purposes well. The location was a definite plus. Nice... more

Excellent basic hotel - clean with helpful staff. It is on the route of the Flybuss from the airport and 100 metres from the Laugavegur Road and the Hlemmur bus station. Breakfasts are good. Their Carpe Diem restaurant serves quality food but is very expensive. Overall a good hotel. more

Everyting about this hotel was average (except the astronomical prices, but that's the same everywhere in Iceland), however the bland decor and small rooms were made up for by the charming manageress who was extremely helpful, had better English than most English people (!), and helped us arrange tours and really tryed to make sure that we had an excellent... more

Stayed for 3 nites in April. Staff very helpul and friendly. The breakfast is very good. There is a good restaurant there too. Lunch is affordable. Rooms are very small, very basic but clean. Bring a hair dryer and soap. I don't think there is air conditioning and you will need that in summer. I didn't see any vents for... more

We just returned from 3 day stay and I would highly recommend the Lind. It was clean and comfortable. The rooms were small by American standards, but I still thought they were fine. My husband and I had a double and my children (ages 13 and 16) were in a twin across the hall. Breakfast is served from 7 am... more

I have stayed at the Lind twice in the past twelve months, for a week at a time, and can thoroughly recommend it; nothing is too much trouble for the helpful, friendly staff (who all speak English, by the way, and didn't laugh once when I tried my patchy Icelandic on them). The rooms are clean, comfortable and nicely presented,... more
