I was looking forward to staying here for the final night of my tour of the Iceland and was disappointed with the experience. I had booked a double room with a view of the atrium, ended up with a twin room overlooking the back of the hotel. The main lamp did not work reception had to be called to sort... More

We stayed here last week as we started out on a round-Iceland trip. It's a modern well equipped hotel but the room we were in was in the original part and showed it a little. Location-wise it's good if like use you needed somewhere easy to reach & park after picking up a hire car from the airport. The downside... More

We stayed in this hotel for five nights, and had every single dinner in its restuarnt, I believe they have the best chips, and very tasty reindeer meet. Location is not bad but need to take a taxi to be in city centre.

On vacation, from USA. Had a room on the 6th floor. Huge windows, beautiful view, clean. Beds were comfortable. For a European 4-star, it was better than expected. Staff was very helpful (front desk as well as cleaning staff). Free breakfast was excellent. Elevators were super fast. Lobby was beautiful 5 story atrium. It is about a 1km walk to... More

The hotel room was not cleaned with the detail one might expect from a hotel that the travel agent rates as a 4 Star Hotel. There was what appeared to be dried sauce or blood on the curtains, the bed spread had stains on it, and the morning clean up crew left a dirty coffee cup in our room. Our... More

I stayed here last year. Not the best location as you have to get taxis into town etc. Not very comfy bed and I was disappointed with the facilities.there was a small spa but it was closed when I went.

Not the old style grand. Modern stylish and very helpful staff. Great location just outside the old town. Nice walk along the ocean boulevard to town. Loved all aspects of hotel. Good breakfast and dinner was also well done. Every thing in Iceland is pricey but quality is good. Restaurant food was on a par with the better food establishments... More

We stayed for 5 nights in a family room. Very clean, spacious top modern hotel, very spacious room, excellent staff, very good breakfast, nice view, not so close to the city center (5 min by car, or apx 30 min by foot) but Reykjavik is so small... everything is within walking distance. Very reasonable price for what you get. I... More

We stayed for one night and really enjoyed it. A family of 5 in 2 rooms. Good location and excellent breakfast and great rooms. I recommend it very much. Not so close to city center. Very nice and helpful stuff at the front desk. A close drive from the airport.

I stayed at Grand Hotel with my family for two nights. It's a top hotel. Large and confortable rooms. Professional... More
