We were a private group of twenty persons visiting Iceland this summer. We have booked ten double/twin rooms with Best Western Reykjavik for two nights from 11 June to 13 June 2014.(8 rooms via Hotel.com and 2 rooms through other channel) but when we arrived at the hotel, the hotel receptionist rudely told us that 6 of us have to... The professional photo of this hotel gives it a much bigger presence than it really is. It's a small hotel in a great location. Easy walking distance to the city center. The room was clean, the breakfast buffet was good and the staff was very helpful. I would suggest having bottled water in the room for brushing your teeth, etc... More

I just got back from a short but fantastic trip to Iceland. Staying at the Best Western was a great idea. It's located just a few block from the heart of downtown so you can walk everywhere. Accommodations are simple but you get all you need, including a very nice breakfast (included); I was impressed with how good the coffe... More

This hotel is in a very good location within walking distance of the main shopping area and tourist sites. I had a large, clean room, somewhat austere, but that seems to be the Icelandic style, with a comfortable bed and tea making facilities and a radiator that I could control. They even provided a sachet of decaffeinated coffee, which is... More

Stayed here for 2 nights. A good location within walking distance of the centre of Reykjavik. The Flybus plus service drops off and picks up at this hotel and is about 5 minutes from the BSI. My room at the hotel was a single and seemed a little small but was clean and adequate. Breakfast was OK and included eggs... More

We stayed here for 4 nights in july. The hotel has a nice location, about 10 minutes to the city center on foot. When it comes to taking part in guided tours, prety much any hotel will do since most tour operators also do hotel pick ups. The room itself was big enough for the two of us and clean.... More

The Best Western if one of the bigger hotels in Reykjavik. It's not in the Old Town but it is just round the corner from the shopping street and the road is wide enough for coaches. The staff are very knowledgeable and efficient and the rooms are clean and comfortable although the single rooms are very small. The breakfast buffet... More

Hotel was clean and fresh, had booked a double room but was allocated a twin which was a bit on the small size. Beds had no headboard and was difficult to sit up and read. Friends had a double next door which was a corner room and much more spacious. Breakfast was self service with usual continental fare, ample. While... More
