Hotel Klettur is quietly tucked away in a back street, about a 15 min walk to the main centre of Reykjavik. The rooms are clean, not particularly spacious, but comfortable. Pillows are a shocker....ask for additional ones. Breakfast is typical Icelandic fair in a large dining room, with a reasonable choice. Wi-fi, is of course, free. Overall, this hotel is... More

Up to date, warm and clean this hotel is in a quite but central area of Reykjavik. Breakfast was on a buffet basis and quite ample. They do not do meals at lunch time or evening however they are within walking distance to some good restaraunts

Arriving from Europe after midnight on the day before Midsummer we were attended efficiently and were in our room in no time. The room was large enough and well appointed. It was a pity that the window could not be opened and no control for the airco to be found. The drainage of the shower was a bit slow. We... More

We stayed here only for one evening and it was perfectly satisfactory. Rooms were basic but clean and quiet. There isn't very much around the hotel so if you are staying in Reykjavik for a few nights a more central hotel would be better. We went to a nearby restaurant recommended by the guy on reception which was good. There were... More

Lovely clean, bright, friendly hotel! Nice breakfast, although I was surprised that they did not have their famous 'SKYR' on their breakfast menu! Staff were very, very helpful, friendly and accomodating. Very reasonably priced with included breakfast. We will stay there again!

We stayed at the Kletter for three nights. Everything was clean and the staff was very helpful. Breakfast was okay, but when the dining room is busy, it is a bit difficult to get your food. For tours we were the last one's to picked up each morning and the first to be dropped off (a big plus for saving... More

The hotel surroundings are not the best. The location therefore is not at the best location, try to find something close to the old harbour area or the main shopping street Laugavedur. The parking is close to the hotel but as there are either steps or a hill, it is best to drop the luggage at the entrance and then... More

I was staying in Reykjavik for a few days after a riding trip. Before going on my riding trip, I got excellent service in the apartments where I stayed, as well as the riding place itself. So I was expecting another place of Icelandic hospitality. It was far from the truth. The staff didn't seem to care about their customers.... More

Out of all the places I stayed in Iceland Hotel Klettur had the most embarrassingly bad internet connection. There's a certain level of expectation when paying a lot of money for an okay room, and one of those things is a somewhat reliable Wi-Fi access in the room. However, the connection here was spotty at best and made an emergency... More

The staff here were so kind to us when we arrived very early and exhausted, they got a room cleaned up quickly so we could crash and they had a great breakfast buffet. Highly recommend! Short walk to the main tour area and very easy to find and get to when driving in from the airport.
