Stayed here for 4 nights. Great central location - opposite sqaure, near to Parliment building. Rooms are nicely decorated in Art Deco style. However, you need to be aware of the issue with the noice from outside. Our first night (Saturday), was in a room on the 2nd floor, in the "old" part of the hotel (as you look at... more

Stayed in this hotel for 3 long nights... and regret my decision ever since. Price quality ratio was one of the worse I have ever seen for a hotel. Some highlights included: -- cramped room -- bar located below the hotel, with deafening noise until 4am during weekends -- dirty shower curtains -- and much more more

Hotel is basically OK; the renovation is good and the art deco feel gives it character. Service is OK but nothing out of the ordinary. Location is excellent but there is a bar in the hotel and it is noisy at night. There is also another bar across the street and people seem to demonstrate alot in front of the... more

The Hotel Borg is great! It is centrally located and the staff, especially the front desk people, were very helpful. I arrived from the US early as everyone does and they had a room available for me immediately. The hotel is near some terrific restaurants, one be Lakjarbrekka. It is also on the main square which is great to grab... more

Great rooms. Very elegant and art deco style. Deluxe rooms are roomy. Mine had a Julietty balcony overlooking the square across the street. It can be a little noisy facing the square, with which along with the non-stop summer sunlight can only increase your imsomnia, but this is iceland go out and enjoy the sun. Plenty of time to catch... more

I got upgraded to Borg Hotel by Hotel Bjork due to oversold of their rooms. The quality and the location of the hotel totally spoiled me and blew me away. Everything in the room is in tip-top condition, modern with a nice touch. Hotel is within a 5-minute walk to many fine restaurants such as the Fishmarket and Cafe Paris... more

My daughter won an all-expenses paid trip to iceland. It was a promotion. We were put up at the Borg. Our rooms were gorgeous. One of them had a fabulous jacuzzi tub (great after horsebackriding!). The beds were comfortable. King size with two separate duvets so no fighting over covers! Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful, from the front desk... more

My wife and I (both 39 years old / no children) had an enjoyable stay at Hotel Borg during a weekend trip from New York. We arrived early on the overnight flight and had no problems checking immediately into the room (bus from airport then switch to a van on to the hotel). Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Comfortable... more
