KEX Hostel in Reykjavik is definitely the place to stay when you are visiting this unique country. They are not only very friendly and the meals very tasty but you always have life music in the evening and the chance to talk to interesting n hip people from all over the world. The rooms are clean and quite nice..the only... More

Kex is a really hipster hostel in the centre of Rejkavik. The rooms are basic with a vintage touch. You share the showers - you however never have to stand in line. Great as well is the shared kitchen so you can prepare your own meal. We really enjoyed the live music during Iceland airwaves. Really recommend to stay here... More

A hostel/ hotel that really tries to be hipster. The main common area is laid-back and good for socializing. Best burger and other good food available at bar. I had a private double room with a shared bathroom. The room had a prison vibe- the small concrete room could barely fit the metal bed, small desk, and metal lockers. Still,... More

A really quirky hostel in a converted biscuit factory in the heart of Reykjavik. What more could you want! We booked a 10 bed room with an airport transfer. The airport transfer was all organised by the hostel, and all we needed to do was just jump on a bus at the airport. Easy! To our surprise when we checked... More

Thankyou so much to everyone at Kex for always being available and helpful during my Reykjavik stay. Such a brilliant town and Kex hostel is located brilliantly. Right beside the sun voyager so I recommend walking down early morning, even for sunrise, for some beautiful photos. i highly recommend eating at Kex, especially breakfast, if you are travelling important to... This hostel is in a good, central location. The bar/social area is very cool and a nice place to hang out in the evenings. I was in a 6 bed female dorm and it was nice, very comfortable with nice clean linen and a a comfy bunk/. There is a mixture of communal and private showers which is a good... More

Before we booked our two nights at the Kex.....I did a lot of reading of the reviews of Kex. I think that helped a whole lot in preparing for our stay. First off......it is a hostel.....not a hotel. If you go in knowing this....then you won't be so surprised with some loud noise....or the fact that there isn't an elevator... More

Kex was recommend to me by my Swedish friend when I visited her. I wasnt disappointed. Airport bus can drop you off for extra fee or its about a 15 minutd walk from the city main bus station. Located across the beach bluff with a great view of the bay and mountains though with a parking lot and a highway... More

My experience at Kex was remarkable. I got a 6 bedroom to myself for 2 nights and my room had a desk (pretty helpful when you're an online graduate student). The only downside is that there is no elevator!! I unfortunately had 4 bags (I was moving home from Europe and did a stopover in Iceland) but the staff helped... More

The staff is really nice, the location is awesome and the decor is trendy. But the room arrangement is awful!!! They double-booked me TWICE. When we finally dragged our luggage to the room (there is no elevator), we found out that the beds are taken. So we went downstairs to talk to the staff and we've upgraded from 16 people... More
