We stayed here for two nights - a family of four. Everything was nice and clean - apart from several of the dishes in the kitchen, unfortunately. Comfortable beds. The location was great. Just walk straight up the street, and there are pubs (Whisky bar! a great place), restaurants, shops. Wouldn't mind staying here again, because of the location. We... More

Exactly what we wanted and expected. The three of us enjoyed our stay, our son slept on the fold out couch and we slept on the beds. This is not about luxury - but we didnt come to Iceland to lay in bed. It was a great place to both explore the city (as it is quite central and yet... More

Stayed at Welcome apartments for a week with my son at the beginning of August. We arrived early and were allowed straight into our room which was a good start. The room was very basic as expected but the cleanliness could have been better, there were dubious stains on the settee and you couldn't put anything in the door of... More

We did not manage to stay at the Welcome apartments, so this review is purely about the customer service encountered. We were visiting some family back in the UK, as we were over from Australia. A few days before a trip to Iceland we had some tragic news from back in Australia (my wife's father had gone missing, and has... More

We had the 4th floor (i.e. top floor) at the apartment. It had a double bed and a single bed, plus sofa and a TV, as we wanted a room for 3 people. It had the essential needs such as the kitchen (It had an induction stove) and utensils such as, pans, plates, knifes & forks, spoons plus a microwave,... More

We spent only two nights there. The one-bedroom apartment is comfortable but that's all. We used the pull-out couch (in addition to the bedroom) and it wasn't easy to sleep on. The location is very good. Very handy to the Laugavegur shopping street. Easy walk to the waterfront. All in all we were satisfied but not overly impressed.

I went to reykjavik for 4 days with my cousin (we are both in our mid-late 20s). The apartment was exactly what we needed. The apartment is just off the Main Street so perfect for shopping, nights out and strolling. Upon arrival we were given a double room but we booked a twin. We managed to change this over the... More

We had a good experience in this hotel. the room was spacious with good kitchen and everything we needed to cook. No staples were left (butter, salt, etc.) so bring your own if you want to cook. There is no front desk person, so be prepared to find information elsewhere if you need it. There was a stack of maps,... More

We chose this place due to its location - it is close to the lake, a short walk to a grocery store, a brief walk to the cathedral and anything downtown... and even a tolerable short walk to the bus station. It was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was comfortable. If you need only the... More

We rented an Studio apartment for 2 people. Iceland is really expensive, and these apartments were a good price (compared to others in the Old Town of Reykjavik). The apartment was very clean. It was great having a small kitchen, we saved a lot of money have most breakfast and a couple dinners at home. Really, I can't say enough... More
