Great location in the very heart of Reykjavik. We stayed in a perfectly furnished studio apartment with two kids, and it had everything we needed. Granted, the interior was simple and IKEA-based, but it was clean and cheap and nice. The bathroom was quite small and you have to beware of the water - it is hot! Master of the... More

We stayed in room 306. Excellent location literally 2 minutes walk to Main Street, was really quite at night which was good. very clean and tidy. Nice and warm after being out in the cold. Check in was very simple they email the door codes before you arrive. The only downside was that the fire alarm went off one night,... More

The apartments are very well located only a couple of minutes walk from the main shopping street. Arriving is a bit different from most hotels as there will be no one to welcome you. Instead you should receive an email before you arrive with a code o get into the hotel and a combination number to get your room key.... More

We spent 4 days at the Welcome apartments. The location is pretty good a block from the ocean and two blocks from the Main Street. It is a self check in system and we received codes to access keys about a week before our trip. That worked well. The apartment had the basics, a few pots, pan, coffee maker, toaster,... More

For what this hotel sets out to do, it does it pretty well. The self-service luggage storage was very convenient since we got into Reykjavik early in the morning, but couldn't check in until 2. The room was nice, but there were some minor cleanliness problems when we arrived; however, these were resolved quickly when we called. The lack of... More

Apartments has a self check-in arrangement, details to access the building and room are emailed through in advance (make sure you check your emails for this information!). Apartment stayed in was 305, faced the back of the area where building works on another site is currently going on, so you may hear light construction noises during the working hours. Apartment... We stayed at these apartments for a week. When we arrived we knew not to expect anybody at the desk to check in. In a received email were access codes which allowed us to enter the apartments and then get our key from a safe box. The process could not have been easier. The apartments were cosy, clean and very... More

We booked another place in Reykjavik that ended up falling through but that's a long story. We booked at the Welcome Apartments last minute through hotwire and got a price on par with our previous hotel booking. We were happy with that alone and the apartment was even better. You are basically provided with a small apartment. Two beds, couch,... More

This was a nice apartment with all the basics that you need - beds were comfortable, with sitting area, small kitchen area with kettle, fridge, sink and oven with a good range of cooking equipment. The TV didn't have a great range of English channels and the English channels seemed to switch off at 8pm - this wasn't really a... More

These apartments are situated a few minutes walk from the main street of bars/restaurants in Reykjavik which is ideal. The rooms are basic but do the job for what you need given it's likely you'll spend much time there. They have all facilities you could need such as fridge, freezer, toaster, microwave, kettle etc. Only unusual thing is the slef... More
