I couldn't fault this place, comfortable, warm, friendly and with a cheerful and helpful staff. It's a heartbeat from all the main sites in this lovely capital, and in fact it's centrally placed between the attractions to the west like the area around old harbour and Tjörnin, and the cafes, bars and shops around Laugavegur. The free wifi was fast... More

He had a great time at Reykjavik Residence. The rooms were spacious, clean and well furnished. The breakfast was probably the best part of the trip. A great selection of bread, cheeses and cold cuts arrived daily at our apartment.

The hotel is in a beautiful building, formerly the Norwegian embassy (the other hotel run by the same company, Residence suites, on the same street, is a former Prime minister's Residence). The rooms also have a mini-kitchen. You can order a breakfast that is brought to your room. The only possibly missing item would be a box of Kleenex. The... More

I stayed here with my husband and my daughter for 2 nights. The room is very warm and cozy. The kitchen is well equipped with cereal, milk, juice and tea. Wi-Fi is all right even in the room. There is however no room to put any toiletries in the bathroom. Service also varies. The staff on duty on our first... More

This place is really nice but with high price comes high expectations. Most everything was great. Clean room, comfortable bed, nice little kitchen stocked with the basics for breakfast (cereal, coffee, water, OJ, etc.). The location is great, fairly quiet street but very close to the town and restaurants. Service was great and the folks working there were very nice... More

This hotel is spotless and couldn't be better located in town near the main shopping streets, the Harpa and many restaurants. Be sure to order the delicious "breakfast basket", which contain enough goodies for breakfast and much more, and also has wonderful bread from a nearby backery.

This is such a nice hotel! The staff at check-in and check-out were so nice, the guy in the morning went out to the curb to make sure the cab knew we were waiting inside. It's located along embassy row, a great location for easy walking around the city. The room was lovely, spacious and clean. They even left cream... More

This is a cozy and quaint hotel in Reykjavik. The rooms are fairly large and include a kitchenette with cereal, milk, teas and juice. The location is superb. You can easily walk to the main shopping area as well as to whale watching tours and the waterfront. The place is well kept and everything was very clean and maintained in... More

We stayed here on the last day of our 2.5 week stay in Iceland and we were happy to spend the last day of our trip in such a great hotel. The hotel is located on a street parallel to the main shopping street in the city but it wasn't noisy. An art house cinema, Bio Paradis, is only a... More

Our two families, ages 19 to 60, traveled to Iceland in July. The seven of us, longtime friends, spent our first night in Reykjavik, at the Reykjavik Residence Hotel. We highly recommend this hotel. We all stayed in the reasonably priced three bedroom apartment that is across the street from the main hotel. Upon arrival at the hotel desk, we... More
