Edda and Una helped make our teens' first experience in Europe such a positive experience. We arrived on an early morning flight, and our hosts invited us to have breakfast. They also made wonderful suggestions for places to visit in town and the route of a perfect walking tour. Una shared historical and cultural information, and told us of an... More

An old traditional building decorated in the lovely Scandinavian style. Warm and cosy with all that was needed for a break away. Tea/coffee and even milk provided but more importantly for our 13 year old, very quick wifi! Great for the old town/shopping district and even with snow on the ground less than 10 minutes from BSI terminal. We would... More

The hosts were lovely. I arrived in the morning and even though my room wasn't ready yet they let me have breakfast. Then I was told that they found a different room for me so I was able to check in earlier than I thought. When I told Edda that I had a really early flight out of Reykjavik she... More

We stayed here for 3 nights. the B & B is very centrally located and with easy access to the town centre. The owners were laid back and really helpful. The rooms were just the right size and always had enough hot water for showering. Our son loved the breakfast - which I have to say was really lovely and... More

The lady of the house is also a travel agent. She doesn't try to sell you anything, but does make any number of suggestions and provides helpful advice. She even called a couple of places around the Country on our behalf. Nice full breakfast; still warm homemade bread. Easy to find. The tall national cathedral is a few houses away

Staff very friendly, 3 min walk from the city centre, great breakfast (huge), prices very affordable. You share the breakfast in a living room with the other guests, but that's fine. The heating was great in the room. I would definitely recommend this place.

We stayed in the ground floor apartment of the Eric the Red apartments from 25th to 29th June 2015. The apartment was extremely comfortable and although small was big enough for my 2 friends and me. It had all we needed to cook, sleep and shower, very cosy. The owners were very helpful both before and whilst we were there.... More

This is a very welcoming guest house with friendly service and good accommodation close to everything in Reykjavík. After travelling with 3 kids for 40+ hours we were welcomed by Una late in the evening who cared for all of our needs. We will be back!!

Eric the Red is like the plain, basic, not-really-exciting boy you consent to have a date with—then after spending time with him, you realize and appreciate his quiet, understated charm and he suddenly seems quite attractive by the end of it all. We arrived in the middle of the night (although at this time of year in Iceland, you never... More

We stayed four nights in this bed and breakfast and would highly recommend it to anyone! Great value bed and breakfast in an excellent location, the church Hallgrímskirkja is just across the road from here and you can see beautiful views of the city. Café Loki which serves Icelandic food is a minute walk from, the shopping streets are a... More
