I was really pleased to stay at the guesthouse during a tour of Iceland. I wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. The hostess was lovely and accommodating. She answered all of my questions in perfect English and was patient while I tried to practice some Icelandic! The rooms are decent sized and comfortable. The heating and hot water are... More

Suited our needs perfectly and the manager was excellent and booked us our taxi and tours. Basic room and breakfast but perfectly clean and welcoming. Tea and coffee making facilities in communal areas. We had great views over mountains from our room. Excellent all round. Thank you

The hotel is located 15 minutes (walking distance) from the city centre. It was a bit hard to find as it is on top of some office rooms. The staff was helpful and friendly, explained everything. The rooms were basic but clean, breakfast buffet much better than expected. We were happy there, going back soon :)

Read reviews before travelling so I knew what to expect. Lift up to reception on floor 3 took 4 with cases. Room basic but spotless and warm, bed very comfortable. Breakfast was a small selection of continental buffet but plentiful and kept us going until lunch-time. Out of town so 4 in a taxi 2,000 ISK each way and the... More

Just returned from spending a few nights in Reykjavik. Don't expect any frills at this guesthouse but I would recommend it if you are on a budget. Room was basic but very clean; the most comfy bed I've had in a hotel in a long time; breakfast was a small selection of cereal, plain yoghurt, small amount of cut fresh... More

This was our only room option for the New Year Festival package as we booked very late paying overall a pretty high price for the entire deal. So my comments must be viewed against this background and the fact that we had a tremendous time during our 4 day visit and we will go again to Iceland but stay elsewhere.... More

Stayed here for 4 nights in November and it didn't disappoint. As everyone mentions the building is basically an office block with a resident travel agent but ignoring that fact the place offers excellent and safe accommodation. Yes it's a good walk along the scenic sea front to the centre of Reykjavik but the bus network is excellent and all... More

We can't recommend this guesthouse highly enough! Don't be put off by the distance from the city center; the bus connections are good, the tour companies will pick you up at your hotel anyway, and you'll save a lot of money. But the best part was the incredible service we got from the owner! During our five night stay, she... More

I stayed here twice during a trip- on my arrival to iceland and on my final night before returning to the UK. It is a family-run B&B which is clean, has all the basics provided (hairdryers, radio alarm clock, TV in the room and tea/ coffee-making facilities in the communal areas). Wifi is also available as it is in most... More
