Basic guesthouse on 3rd and 4th floor. Very clean with good showerand comfortable beds but otherwise basic. Cold buffet breakfast with cereal, toast, bread, cheese, cold meats. A little way out of the main town but about a 20 minute walk or 2000 krona in a taxi. We stayed there as part of a tour which provided a shuttle bus... More

This is a small guesthouse on the 3rd and fourth floors of the travel agency which has the first two floors as its offices and its bus station for tours immediately behind. In other words, first impressions can be a little downheartening. But this is wrong. Adequate rooms, adequate breakfast, free wifi, good shower. What else would you look for?... More

Just come back from Iceland after a 5 day break for my birthday with my wife. The guesthouse is not in the same league as a hotel. However, for a clean, friendly, helpful and reasonable priced bed and breakfast.....it's hard to beat. I asked for more pillows and the table lamp didn't work, all rectified very quickly. The Hotel Cabin... More

This is a nice little hotel, the staff are very friendly and helpful. There was a large variety of food and drink at breakfast time. The guesthouse is about 15-20 from the city centre and I found it to be a very enjoyable walk alone the sea front to Reykjavik. I would definitely stay here again.

Another hotel overbooked us so sent us here instead. Would book here if coming back. Warm welcome. Clean and comfortable basic rooms. Breakfast enjoyable. Ample car parking. Next to seashore walk into town. Located next to the main road which is busy day and night.

We didn't expect much when we pulled up to the guesthouse as it's not much to look at from the outside but we were pleasantly surprised. The manager is very friendly and let us check in early. Our room was a decent size and nice and clean, the beds were very comfortable and the view of the water and mountains... More

The location of this guesthouse is not in the center of city, but walkable to the city (20 minutes walk). Hotel was in an old building (5 floor), and the room is located at upper floor as the first and second floor are travel office. Reception is located at third floor inside the guesthouse restaurant. Rooms are big but with simple... More

We stayed on both the 3rd and 4th floors. The 4th floor rooms are larger and lighter compared to the smaller 3rd.The reception is located on the 3rd floor which we found after a little looking. The walk into town is around 30 minutes however there are shuttle buses. Highlight was seeing the Northern lights late through the large windows... More

We had no choice over our base as all other options with Newmarket Holidays were fully booked and we were agreeably surprised by the guesthouse. Our room was warm and spacious with a sea and mountain view and the hot water supply was endless (albeit with the sulphur smell that we had been warned about). Our two complaints about the... More
