Having read other reviews we worried what to expect but everything was fine. We stayed in a so called dungeon basement room (Room 101) we found it spacious for Iceland, modern and clean. Perfectly happy especially with such a good price. The small kitchen was a bonus and saved us a fortune. We are just back yesterday after another wonderful... more

My husband and I traveled to Iceland for a short get away. We chose Einholt Guesthouse for its convenient location and good rates. We're were very pleased with the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms. We enjoyed the food that the hotel provided for us to make snacks with on our day trips, and the staff was very friendly and... more

Thank you very much for the time we could spent in Einholt Guesthouse. We had a five minute walk from our guest house to the centre of reykjavic or the harbour. In our room we had all we need for self sufficiency, a very comfortable bedroom with a kitchen, so we were able to boil traditional icelandic fish meals (but... more

Walking distance from the centre and all Flybuss and tourbuss pick ups straight from the guesthouse. No reception, but always available help-line on use, so no worries on that. Mini kitchen and ready filled fridge nice thing to have! more

This is a great find. It's a very non-hotel type of hotel. First two floors in building are hotel rooms, above are apartments. Very clean, safe, newly furnished rooms. The staff is rarely there but available by mobile phone. The room comes with kitchenette that is fully stocked with basic food (juices, milk, bread, cheese, ham, jams, butter, coffee, tea,... more

Just remember that this is Iceland, it is a remote location, and hotels are definitely not cheap. Don't expect the luxuries of a fancy hotel here, but it is quite adequate if you are out exploring during the day and just use your room at night. I have to say the hotel definitely looks better in the photos. In reality,... more

Thanks! we were very happy to be able to walk to the guesthouse in the morning after the crazy Reykjavik centrum party. We didn´t have a clue what we wanted to do in Iceland but lucky we got great guidence from these sweet young staff that showed us places with black beaches and where to do horseback riding. We loved... more

This was certainly close enough to the city centre, but not central. This is pleasantly represented in the price. Nice rooms, with food provided for breakfast. Nice to have facilities for cooking. more
