Just returned from a 3 night stay. Very helpful and friendly manager, breakfast was fine too. Clean and well room, nothing was to much trouble. Superb base from which to tour the city from. Also, most - if not all tour companies - will pick up from just outside too. Only downside - can be a little noisy sometimes with... More

Me and my sister had the absolute amazing one week trip to Iceland and we cannot be happier with Aurora Guesthouse ! The location cannot be beaten up - 3 min walk to the famous church and city center , 1 min walk to the famous Lokki café , 20 min walk to both Old harbour and central bus station... More

Stayed for 3 nights. I was initially concerned from some of reviews I read in Tripadvisor, however, I was pleasantly surprised by the very clean facilities and rooms. Our booking had included breakfast, which covered both savory and sweet options, which left us full for a good part of the day (very useful when spending most of the day on... More

We stayed for 2 nights and we were given a large 4 bedded apartment with private facilities at number 43. (Room 6) It was a large open plan apartment which was warm and clean with comfortable beds. There really needs to be a good rating rather than just average and very good, as this to me was above average We... More

We had 4 good nights in Aurora Guesthouse and are absolutely content. Great location close to BSI busstation and the city center. We had comfortable beds and had a room in a small annex around the corner in Njadargata 43. We had a small kitchen with cooking facilities incl. a fridge and a bathroom to share with two neighbours which... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at Aurora Guesthouse for 3 nights and were really impressed. It was very easy to find being just round the corner from the Church. Location was great, we didnt bother paying extra to get dropped at the hotel which worked out well as it is only a 5 minute walk from the bus station. Its... More

Part of a large group. Was told shared bathroom would be 2-3 people. On the ground floor in the main guesthouse, there are 5 rooms with 1-3 people in each room sharing one bathroom. That is 11 people. Unacceptable. Even worse, the location of these rooms, above the breakfast room and right by the stairs and front door, ensure that... More

I stayed at guesthouse aurora for 6 nights and I am very impressed with the rooms they offered me. For a price like that, I don't know if I can get any where else that's 5 minutes walk to the city centre, and includes breakfast. Besides, the host Siki is really nice and helpful whenever I had questions for him,... More

wifi works very well, very well organized, there´s a phone to contact the staff when you need, if its late. the room is your responsability during your stay, so dont expect beds to be done when you come back. very good place to stay when visiting reykjavic.

The hotel is about an 8 min walk from the bus terminal and around the corner from the Halgrimskirkja Church. The airport bus also stops outside if you have luggage. Great breakfast with fresh baked bread. Reception can speak fluent English. I booked the Golden Circle tour which also picks up outside. Easy walk to church and all city sights.... More
