Alex guesthouse was a very pleasant stay - included was breakfast and airport transfer and free coffee. The managing director, Einar who met us at reception (and is in the picture of their website) is very welcoming, helpful and was very patient with other guests as I observed. Beds were comfortable and toilets clean. We also used the kitchen to... More

The rooms are basic (more like modern youth hostel style), but they are clean and there is just everything you need. Not a particularly charming place, but you probably choose this hotel for its location close to the airport. And this is just really convenient for late arrivals or early departures. The airport is in walking distance (20 min, no... More

We stayed there in small cottage. For first view it was beautiful place but inside it was really bad place. There was quite cold in the toilet was not flushed an urine, dirty bad linen and a lot of hairs on the floor. The breakfast was poor, coffee as water. Libor&Lada, Prague

This is a great place for the airport and also for looking after stuff, arranging the cheapest car hire next door and the staff are a lovely friendly group who will help you with any plans and ideas for travelling around Iceland. A mixture of accommodation from rooms to little self catering huts. All clean and friendly. A bit 'motel'... More

This guesthouse is the 2nd closest place to the airport and it's also what they are here for. Yes there is another hotel right next to the terminal, but you pay the price. The guesthouse is also a bit more expensive for Icelandic standards, but it's a good alternative in case you want to sleep during an overnight aircraft transfer,... More

Convenient if you arrive late at airport - rooms ok a bit on the basic side breakfast also a little basic but who cares as this is a transit hotel anyway not much to say as it serves its purpose and is worth a stop. Only annoying thing is the noise of the floor and the doors...

so convenient! we stayed there 1 night when we just landed in Iceland in the middle of the night. It was not very clear as where in the airport was the gathering point waiting for the shuttle. Clean and easy, simply breakfast. All we needed for one night stay, pretty good value.

This was the closest hostel to the airport, and obviously geared up for people leaving and arriving at all hours. We stayed in one of the cabins outside with its own bathroom and a heap of space to sort our gear. It was clean and tidy with basic kitchen utensils so we could cook. Only niggle was the heater in... You get what you pay for. Close to airport. Clean rooms. 20 min walk to restaurant in Keflavik. We didn't try their breakfast so I can't have any opinion about that. Fairly noisy at night while you here everyone entering the wooden indoor stairs.

Clean, basic accommodation. Did the job for the night but worth noting that the walls are paper thin. Our room was right next to the shared bathroom and you could hear EVERYTHING! Not great when you have to get up at 5.30am for a flight. The staff were polite and friendly. Breakfast was ok, again pretty basic. Shuttle bus to... More
