We stayed for 2 nights as part of our tour. Food was not very good, typical Icelandic breakfast. One dinner of fish was OK. We were in a "regular" cabin but got moved since that did not have two single beds and wound up in a room with 4 kids beds. We complained but it did not good. No one... More

Well, it seemed woodsy for Iceland. Near Husavik, our cabin-style room was large with a lovely view of the countryside. The "cabins" are actually connected with a covered walkway with greenery and flowers. Several open air hot tubs under a roof were close to the cabins. We did not have an opportunity to enjoy them. This place gave me my... More

It was an excellent surprise to get to this hotel, after a whale watching tour in Husavik. We came and in the middle of nowhere found this lovely place to stay. Rooms are very big and beautiful, breakfast was very rich and we recommend going there very much. You will really enjoy it

To be honest I booked this hotel a bit last minute because it was the closest one to lake Myvath with vacancies and I did not have great expectations. We got a pleasant surprise: plush rooms, 2 hot tubes and, like almost everywhere in Iceland, friendly service. Food in the restaurant, both for dinner and breakfast was good but not... More

Family run, very friendly, very helpful. Lovely buffet breakfast,l beautifully presented. Dinner was good but limited choice (not everything on the menu or wine list was available). We were in a lovely, brand new room in an accommodation block just a two minute walk down the hill. Lovely view of the mountains, amazingly well insulated and soundproofed. Could have down... More

Nice room, helpful and friendly staff. We were travelling with two young kids (1 and 3) and they were given quite a bit of attention, which made them feel at home. Breakfast was a nice spread and dinner was said to be good but was too late for the kids, so we ate elsewhere. It was very handy that they... More

When travelling with a group I always go to Hotel Raudaskrida. Reason is that the price and service is the best in the area. The hotels located along the Myvatn Lake are too expensive and when travelling in June there are a lot of flies in that area but not at Raudaskrida. The new rooms below the hotel are very... More

The hotel is nice, located in middle of the field. There are no activities around. The breakfast time is not compatible with whale watching. The owner is unflexible. In some room it smell sulfite and the tv is broken. In conclusion, it is nice only if you look for a quiet acetic place. I would not recommand it for adventurer.

booked the hotel because of all the good reviews, but the cottage i stayed in is nothing like that. the shower is terrible, very weak pressure with either boiling or freezing water. and there was full of flies in the room when we get in (some dead by the windows) that was kinda disgusting.

Good place to travel to this area. Very calm. There is also hot tube wich is very nice.Good food served in a beautifull dining room surrounded by snowing mountains. They use minral water very smelly and not every one likes it.Also we asked for vegeterian food and got poor dinner. Also some of the group did not have hot water in showers
