This was the most modern hotel of all the places that we stayed in Iceland, which is saying a lot because all the hotels were modern decor. It was great to experience ultra modern decor at least once. We arrived late, so didn't sample the dinner, but the breakfast was delicious and filling. The view was great. The hotel location... More

Staff exceedingly helpful. Continental breakfast was perfect-fresh fruits, eggs&bacon, fresh bread, cheese/yogurt, juice&hot beverages, cereals in a self-serve setting. The restaurant is stunning both with regards to food quality, ambiance, surroundings, and staff. Nice and clean rooms

After a long day of driving and sightseeing we weren't sure what to expect when we finally reached the hotel. We were very pleased and surprised by what we found. The hotel surroundings were amazing. You felt like you were in an oasis in the middle of nowhere. The staff were friendly and courteous. The room was very spacious and... More

We spent just one night here while travelling round Iceland and it was one of our least favourite hotels. It is an impressive modern building and our room was a great size, and comfortable. Bathroom was also a great size and nicely finished. So far so good. The shower is designed in such a way that it is a wet... More

My wife and I passed through here on our ring road tour. Beautiful building, especially compared to others around and that we had stayed at. Since it is away from everything we were able to even go outside and watch some northern lights. One of our favorite stays on the ring road.

Lovely hotel, very friendly staff. Rooms spotless. Breakfast was more than adequate, with a wide range of items for the buffet. Many of the rooms have a fantastic view of the glacier! Had a hard time finding the hotel though, even though I knew it right on the main ring road. The sign out front is placed parallel to the... More

This hotel is not exactly in the center of a city nor it is close to the habitual entry points to the biggest glacier in Europe (Vatnajókull), but the vista over some of its tongues is simply amazing. The building is very new and comfortable, and the staff very helpful. We had the slight inconvenience of having asked for an... More

Excellent hotel in the contryside with great view to the glacier. (ask for a glacier view) Stayed two nights. Previous evening we had dinner at the hotel and were very happy with the dinner and a great view of the countryside from the dining hall. We visited Hornafjarðarbæ and had lunch at the restaurant "Pakkhúsið" which is a great restaurant... More

We were touring in Iceland, and this was a great location for a stopover in the south-east. The interior design is cool, clean and modern, and there are great views of the glaciers and mountains. Dinner was very good - we tried the lobster soup, a beef dish and some nice lamb cutlets, but we were sorry to see Minke... More
