We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights (23rd-27th Feb). We arrived at the hotel from the airport around 2am and were greeted by a hotel staff member (sorry don't know any names!) who checked us in very quickly and smoothly. We had the family room - 5 adults - Room 119). Room: Very clean spacious room Two large bathrooms... More

Very nice, clean, modern hotel. I paid the extra for a "deluxe" room, and it had a little fridge and hotplate, along with a larger footprint than the regular rooms. View was not the best, back parking lot, but they can't all be views, right? For the price I feel like I really got a steal! Bedding was clean and... More

Check in was simple, and very fast - only asked for my name, then handed me the key, all before I could pull out the documents. Same receptionist that poured me a coffee at 4.30am before my flybus turned up to take me back to the airport. And who called the Flybus company the night before my departure to organise... More

A very nice, modern styled hotel. Reception staff very helpful with all queries. Room was a good size with a small hob and fridge. Bathroom clean and spacious. Morning breakfast simple but good to start the day. Lovely place to stay for a night or two.

I booked a single room for 4 nights in February and was very pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Nice, simply furnished room, comfortable bed and good heating. Really good choice for breakfast, inc porridge and hot waffles. Good selection of teas. Make sure you try skyr - an Icelandic yogurt-like low-fat dairy product, it goes well with cereals or waffles.... More

Hotel Hafnarfjordur is great hotel. Its about 30 minute drive from Keflavik airport. It is on the Flybus route. The hotel offers free parking for its guests. It is 10 minute drive or 25 minute bus ride from downtown Reykjavik. We got a free upgrade to one of the smaller suites on the 4th floor. It was a spacious room... More

This is a lovely little hotel, basic but perfect with cooking facilities, which was a pleasant surprise. It's only a 15 min bus ride away from the centre. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Thanks for a pleasant stay. A nice breakfast too.

Stayed here with my 74 year old Mum for a long weekend while enjoying this corner of Iceland. I would echo what everyone else has said here. Clean and comfortable with friendly staff. Easy to get into Reykjavik by bus. There was a handy locked room for left luggage which we used on the last day of our stay as... More

Even though this is classified as a budget hotel, don't be fooled into thinking its average or below. The staff were very friendly, the rooms were spacious and hot, and the free breakfast was plentiful and good. Great location. 10 minutes from Reykjavik, and 35-45 mins from the airport.

Stayed here for 4 nights, and it was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Although it's not in the city, it's a great bargain. Took bus 1 to Reykjavik so very accessible. The place was clean and the food was great. Great place to stay, had a great experience!
