Hotel rooms give the IKEA feel. Clean and basic, with a kitchenette. Location is right outside the city. Free breakfast and free wifi, with a helpful staff. The breakfast is pretty good, a nice array of meats, Skyr, cheese, a couple types of breads, waffles, and some fruit. For fruit juice they have apple and an orange drink, similar to... More

Room nice and clean. Friendly staff. Breakfast was good enough. Great value compared to staying in central Reykjavik, and it's easy to get the no. 1 bus which stops just outside the hotel. Hafnarfjörður is also a nice place for a quick visit. Tours and airport bus pick up and drop off at the hotel.

Have just got back from a 3 night stay at this hotel. It is located in an industrial estate about 20 minutes outside of Reykjavik, which may put some people off, but if all you're after is somewhere to get some sleep after a long day of sight seeing, this will more than fit the bill. The whole hotel is... More

We stayed in this hotel for a three night break to Iceland and I am glad to report that we had a good time and even managed to see the Northern Lights. The hotel itself is basic but welcoming. The rooms are clean with a small kitchenette. Although it is a bus ride from Reykjavik, it is an ideal place... More

We have just come back from a 4 night stay here, and really have no complaints. There was an issue with our initial room in that we could hear music being played 24/7 and once we raised this with reception they investigated and found out the noise was coming from the shop next door where the room with the stereo... This place should actually be called Hotel ATruckStopNearHafnarfjordur. Its location along a major road leaves much to be desired. Although there are amenities nearby they are fast food chains and gas stations. It's a good 25 min walk to Hafnarfjordur and a 20-30 min bus journey to Reykjavik. It's fine if you have a car and plan to explore with... More

This hotel definitely exceeded my expectations. The rooms were spacious and have a small refrigerator, 2 burner stove, sink, and dishes for 3-4 people. The room and rest of the hotel was very clean as was the bathroom. We were on the ground level facing the parking lot but we have no complaints about the noise except for about 5... More

Cannot fault the hotel, excellent staff who were very helpful and informative, a room that was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was excellent and wifi is free. It's a bus journey/drive away from Reykjavik but the bus stops very close to the hotel and day tickets can be purchased at the hotel reception. It is also well worth a walk... More

We stayed at this hotel from September 27-October 1. The hotel was very accommodation! Our room was clean, warm, and the beds were comfortable. They upgraded us to a bigger room. The breakfast had a good spread and options to choose from. I am very satisfied with out stay at this hotel!

This hotel has extremely friendly and helpful staff (in particular we got a lot of help & assistance from Porkatla). For the budget, we had a fair choice for breakfast and the rooms were generously sized. We were perhaps lucky to get one with a fridge/kitchenette which was very useful. The only downside was the location, about 15 minutes by... More
