We are staying now in a very old small guesthouse http://www.harbourfront.is/ with a character but clean, which has been renovated. Only few meters from the bus station to Reykjavik and shops around. The Fly bus from the airport stops here too. Sirry our host welcome us with a espresso coffee and was very friendly. Their is a kitchen you can... More

Just arrived home after a four night stay. Fabulous place to stay. Sirry is very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The cafe across the road is welcoming and does the best hot chocolate. Will be returning!!!!

New owners were awesome & made it such a pleasant stay - made us feel like we were at home instead of guests. If you stay make sure you take advantage of the home cooked meal option. Multiple choices that include: Salmon duet - Smoked and marinated with toast, egg and dill sauce Cured lamb and game paté with blue... More

Arri (that's probably not how he spells his name) picked us up from the airport and the holiday started there thanks to him as far as we were concerned. Not set up like a guesthouse any country iv ever stayed in. There was complete trust, felt more like a private apartment but someone came in and did breakfast, his mother... More

Stayed here for 4 days. The owners were both lovely, very welcoming and friendly and extremely knowledgable of the the area/reykjavik and Iceland in general. We were welcomed on arrival and given a tour of the guesthouse and had a very nice chat. Was a really nice welcome to Iceland. The room was clean, spacious and very comfy (the bed... More

I stayed here for a couple of days and used it as a base to tour sights in driving range of Reykjavik. There is a small parkinglot at the guesthouse itself. The guesthouse itself is a cosy and informal place with a small kitchen. I stayed on the first floor, where you have three rooms.Although the room had a small... More

Booked this guesthouse through VRBO and having never travelled to Iceland before, trusted the information on the site by the owner. He greeted us at the airport and drove us from the airport to the guesthouse full of information, friendly and approachable. He showed us our room - one right on the main drag beside what has to be the... More

When a discrepancy with dates from my booking.com reservation at this hotel was discovered, the proprietor did not honestly work through the cancellation process and rather charged a full 90€ for the unused night. He also made the full rate again by booking the same room to someone else - quite dishonest. There was also no parking available.

Our family group of eleven people found this the ideal place to stay, booking the entire house of six bedrooms. Bedrooms had washbasins and we all shared the two showers and two toilets downstairs, which worked pretty well for our family. We enjoyed Room 4, the largest which could accommodate more than two people. Everything was clean and comfortable. There... More
