This rooms were nice but a little small. There was no elevator in the building so if stairs are a issue then ask for a low floor. We had a room with a harbor view that was spectacular. Good location where you can walk a few blocks to the downtown area.

After a huge drive from Keflavik through wind, rain, ice and snow blizzards this hotel was a wonderful welcoming sight and didn't let us down. The owner was a beautiful Icelandic lady (sorry we didn't catch your name) and stopped and chatted to us about her life and delighted us in the wonders of Icelandic beer! The hotel was lovely,... Nice little hotel in great location---close to the center yet with view of the Fjord (some rooms, in low season same price). Responsive on email requests. Room (301) small but with lots of light. If there is any. Complementary afternoon coffee and cookie.

Stayed here 3 nights. Good value for money, comfy beds (quite soft if you like the firmer mattress), clean and generally comfortable. We are on honeymoon and staff left a bottle of champagne in the room with a card, which I thought was a lovely gesture. Staff very attentive and breakfast consisted a decent selection (continental). The rooms and small... More

We stayed here for one night. The hotel is situated just nearby the center of Akureyri. Our room was at the top floor and was very large, clean with good bathroom and a perfect bed. No elevator, but the staff is very friendly and offers you to bring the luggage upstairs. Like at most places we stayed in Iceland, a... More

This hotel was very comfortable. Room was fine, shower good, breakfast perfectly adequate. I don't mind not having a sea view, but it's just a pity that the management couldn't have done something to the steep and scruffy banking at the back of the hotel - which was our view - to make it a bit more aesthetically pleasing!

although the rooms are a little warm, they were clean and cozy. Decent bathroom and ours had a great view of the Fiord. The breakfast in the morning was quite good. Easy to find, but check a google map before you go as, even though this is the second time here, its one street back off the main road. Older... More

Stayed here for 2 nights. Rooms were quite small but very clean. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Located at the end of the main street - quiet location and across from the water. Located at the end of town and just a short walk to the main downtown shopping district. Breakfast each morning was typical European but quite good.

It was our last night in the North and we had shopped (tons of yarn, 66 North, books and more) so had to integrate our purchases into our already full suitcases. Unfortunately, our room was the size of a shoebox and we had had to walk up (and down) three flights of stairs with our suitcases. I know we should... More

This nice hotel, about a 25 minute walk down the hill (remember, it's up going back!!!) is nicely situated. The rooms are well appointed. My only disappointment was that I was hoping to have the hotel provide laundry services and they did not have any. Food in the restaurant, both breakfast and dinner was good.
