Good hotel and great service! We had a great skiing offer, 3 night, 3 breakfasts and two , 3 courses, dinners. at 19,900 isl. kr. The hotel is in a great locations in the down town area. Just beside Akureyri´s Church. Akureyri´s skiing area is just about 10-15 min drive away from the Hotel Kea. more

Unexpectabtly ended up staying in this hotel for 1 night as our flight was diverted from Keflavik Airport due to extreme weather conditions. Hotel Kea is pretty high quality compared to many of the hotels in Icelend which tend to be more of a motel quality. If you are visiting Iceland I would definitely recommend a stop in Akureyri. Hotel is small and friendly, car parking is limited in front of the hotel itself but there's plenty around (also a very large, and unused, car park at the church at the top of the hill). Our room at the Kea was bright, modern, and terribly small. The location of the hotel is perfect; we walked all over the city. The breakfast was fine and there was no charge to use the computers in the lobby. more
