First time trying the Omena model. Communication of codes, etc good. Location near grocery store, but not much to eat in immediate area. Easy walk to river and Saturday market, and old food market hall. Sterile hallways, needs some basic upkeep of flooring, changes of level and couple of stairs a pain with suitcase. Room clean and had AC. Window... More

If you are travelling with tight budget and just want to bed to sleep on, Omena hotelli is the Place to go. Location is excellent. Rooms are really really Basic. Extra beds are just for kids, so if you are travelling with more than 2 adults, take two rooms.

This was our first experience of a hotel without visible staff. The system for checking in works and is effective; however, a check in time earlier than 1600 hrs would have been much appreciated. It is convenient for the railway station and the bus station - but that is more of a reflection on the size of the town. The... More

If you are driving here, parking is a BIG problem for this hotel. They are VERY vague about where you can park, for how long and for how much. Most of the parking machines are not in English and those that provide English are incomprehensible. Try $5 an hour to park overnight if you're not careful, and you may not... More

The good news is that the Omena is close to the rail station, about 4-5 blocks straight south. It is near the main shopping area as well. The hotel can either be booked online, or at a computer kiosk inside the main door (though someone would have to let you in because you need a code to enter). The room... More

No check in, you just come and go as you wish with your own "door-code". Clean, big rooms. In the city-center. Shopping, restaurants, supermarkets and sights all nearby. Very cheap compared to many other hotels in Turku.

it's kind of funny cause there's no front desk they send you your room code by mail and then you're on your own, there is a number you can call if you need something, i only stay for one night , its very close to the train station so it make everything easier to travel.

The room as it is was OK! For us, lovers of fresh air, it was bad we could not open a window. At night there was most of the 8 nights to much noise. The smell in the passage to the lift was terrible!!!!

This hotel was more of an apartment/hostel style. It was in a great location within walking distance to the main pedestrian mall. Room was large, clean, had a micro/fridge, small table with chairs. GIANT flat screen TV. Comfy bed, private bathroom. Check in was easy, with just a code sent via email, but if you forgot, there's a 24/7 phone... More

This isn't the best Omena hotel I have stayed in, but it was absolutely fine. I shared with two friends and the layout of this room didn't lend itself to feeling like we had much space. The top of the 'divider' which had the TV on was extremely dusty. Other than that though, I don't have anything negative to say.... More
