The hotel is a bit outside of the town by a lake and a huge park. The location is not a big problem, as Tampere is a small town and every corner is reachable in 10 minutes. The hotel is a modern building, which has been renowated every now and then. The public areas face the lake in front of... more

The Scandic Rosendahl is a quick bus ride to downtown Tampere. In return for that slight inconvenience, the traveller gets a nice room in a nice hotel with (if you're lucky) a great view of the lake. With breakfast and wi-fi included, the hotel was a good value. Our room was nicely decorated and the hotel was very quiet. I... more

This hotel is located a bit away from the town of Tampere (Tammerfors) in Finland. It's in a wood area close to a lake. It's not new but is still all right. It's rather large building. The lobby and downstairs area is quite ok. The rooms could use a refurbish. All interior of the rooms look rather cheaply done. The... more

The hotel was very well worth the money. We had a big family room with huge beds for 77€/night incl. good buffet breakfast. Location is very peaceful and nice with scenery over the lakes and nice places to hike just next to the hotel. Bad things: * VERY COLD water in the swimming pool * Very dirty and bad smelling... more

As I already said before, I did not see such a thing as a bad hotel in Finland. This is another example, and this is the best hotel I stayed in Tampere (among 3) Scandic Rosendahl is sort of congress hotel - it's located separately from the city center, in the green area, near the lake. The hotel itself is... more

Stayed at the Scandic Rosendahl end January for two nights. Booked superior room with wonderful views. Room was large and clean but decor a bit dated. Overall hotel is a bit dated but compensated for by the fab location. We took long walks and checked out the lakes and nearby woods. Even went walking on the frozen lake. It is... more

Last April for business reasons I visited Tampere. The specific hotel is located in a very beautiful setting, and at that time it was full of snow. As nice the exterior environment looked from outside, that unpleasant was the interior. The decoration and colours were not at all nice. Actually they must be left the same for over a decade...... more

I have been to Scandic Tampere on a two night stay with my family composed by wife and three childrens aged 12,4,1 during a holiday through Finland. Tampere is a modern town, not the best thing to see in Finland although Sarkaniemi amusement park is worthwile to visit for childrens. However Scandic Rosendahl is certainly located slightly outside the town... more

This hotel is located just on the edge of the city centre (about 15min walk) but on the shores of a lake and surrounded by peacefull countryside. The location could not be better however the hotel certainly could be. First of all all windows are screwed shut, so no chance of any fresh air in your room. Air conditioning filters... more

This is a super hotel set in some wonderful grounds and although its a big chain the staff are really friendly and helpful. The rooms are good and the swimming pool is very good. The breakfasts are amazing. It takes about 20 mins to walk into Tampere, there is a bus just ask the desk for the timetable. Be warned... more
