We stayed 5 nights at the SATO Hotel Home on Kristianinkatu. The location was excellent - an easy 15 minute walk (with luggage) from the Central Station, which is also where the Finnair Bus from the Airport arrives and departs from. It was also less than 10 mins walk to the harbor, with the Cathedral and outdoor market; buses and... More

We loved SATO Hotel home. It's an amazing part of the modern world in that we booked online, got a "key" via e-mail, arrived, stayed 4 nights, and checked out without ever meeting a person that worked for the company. Yet, that would have been entirely unnecessary. It's a big room for a hotel with a fully functioning kitchen and... More

It's more or less what one might expect for the price. Pros: central location, modern apartments, all necessary amenities including internet and tv. Cons: very hot and stuffy inside, even with all windows open, no aircon, very loud construction (it's been going on for a year now) and surrounding traffic outside (not relaxin when you are forced to have all... Although it's not in the centre of the city, it doesn't really matter unless you are having very short trip as Helsinki is very concise. If you speak English, there wouldn't too many problems (or Finnish of course or Swedish maybe). But it might be troublesome if you only speak other languages as there is no reception. I liked the... Reading some reviews I realized that there are 2 different locations of Sato Hotel Home. Even now, trying to write a review of the Kristianinkatu one, TA didn't allow me to. We stayed at the Kristianinkatu hotel, which had been renovated in mid 2013. We had 2 large studios for 2 people each (with proper beds), which were exactly as... More

We travelled from Turkey via Riga, Tallinn and lastly Helsinki. We were aware that there was no reception and that access to the apartment was via a door code which had been emailed to us prior to our stay. We were also aware that access would be from 4pm and that we would have to leave by 11am, and there... More

The appartments were great! Very new and clean. Some disadvantageous though: we could not enter our appartment directly, as we had some problems with the door code. But these were solved in about 20 minutes. The appartment is fine, although we did not sleep very well on the pull-out couch. The beds are fine. So maybe this appartemnt would be... More

This is a great place to stay when visiting Helsinki. It's in city centre and close to everything you will ever need for your visit to Finland's capital. So, here's my review about the...: ROOMS/APARTMENT: We have booked a 4 person apartment, with large bedroom (2 beds, one is hidden inside a closet), kitchen, living room and bathroom (1 1/2).... Sato Hotel home in Lapinlahdenkatu 8 is a condo with several small apartment in the center of Helsinki downtown. The bright side of the stay is the price. 100€ per night is unbeatable in the center of helsinki. We stayed for 2 night. High floor is most enjoyable both for the panorama and the natural light. Studios are really small... More

This apartment has no reception, you get a PIN code to enter the apartment. That means you are left alone without any service whatsoever. Upon entering the room a very strong curry smell immediately hit me. Obviously a significant shortcoming of house keeping, even airing the room didn't help much. Making it worse the bathroom had a very strong drainage... More
