I made a booking through booking.com on 23 March, but cancelled it a few days later on 28 March, as I'd found another place to stay. Meantime they had already detected the whole amount from my credit card, but no problem, two days later the money was promptly transferred back to my bank account. This was the first time I... More

located in the city center could walk to supermarkets and shopping malls within 10 mins. The apt also provide the laundry and drying place to clean the clothes. If you are familiar with the area and don't need any help from the reception, it would be a good choice to stay to help you save the budget (since the living... More

The hotel (at Kristianinkatu) is not a usuel hotel its a service apartment with kitchen but without reception. The location is close to the city center tourist attractions, you can walk or travel by tram from close tram stop. The room is cosy and nicely decorated the kitchen is well equipped, but the cooking utensils are poor for normal cooking,... More

Well, what can you do when you have to stay in a place for a few weeks or months ? Hotels don't make sense anymore as you start to miss your kitchen and your own ways. Hotels that are like homes would be the choice. This is one of them. Nice apartments. Old school lifts with iron bar collapsible gates,... More

I stayed here for almost a month (till the beginning of Dec) on an official trip. Very clean apartment. As I was taking the bus to commute to work, I found it very convenient as the bus stop and the tram stop both are less than 5-mins away. The bus and train stations are also quite easy to reach when... More

Our experience with SATO was mixed. The apartment and building was clean and very secure. We had trouble with the key code as it unlocked the door after 4pm, which was concerning. Luckily, another resident was outside and let us into the main building. The lift wasn't working because the last person who used it didn't close the door properly,... More

We stayed 5 nights at the SATO Hotel Home on Kristianinkatu. The location was excellent - an easy 15 minute walk (with luggage) from the Central Station, which is also where the Finnair Bus from the Airport arrives and departs from. It was also less than 10 mins walk to the harbor, with the Cathedral and outdoor market; buses and... More

We loved SATO Hotel home. It's an amazing part of the modern world in that we booked online, got a "key" via e-mail, arrived, stayed 4 nights, and checked out without ever meeting a person that worked for the company. Yet, that would have been entirely unnecessary. It's a big room for a hotel with a fully functioning kitchen and... More

It's more or less what one might expect for the price. Pros: central location, modern apartments, all necessary amenities including internet and tv. Cons: very hot and stuffy inside, even with all windows open, no aircon, very loud construction (it's been going on for a year now) and surrounding traffic outside (not relaxin when you are forced to have all... Although it's not in the centre of the city, it doesn't really matter unless you are having very short trip as Helsinki is very concise. If you speak English, there wouldn't too many problems (or Finnish of course or Swedish maybe). But it might be troublesome if you only speak other languages as there is no reception. I liked the...
