Common areas are fine, beds are ok, but showers and bathrooms are not enough, and I had to walk 100 mts to get there everytime. Someone stole or threw away my food from the cooler even when it was marked, And staff is not very friendly.

It is a good place to stay if you visit the city. the location is good and the room was quite good. not so big, but clean and for sleeping, it is ideal. The price is acceptable if you consider it is finland

I called on the 14th asking for the whole price for staying a whole month, the guy was a friendly Finn and gave me the price I'd seen before in the internet, on the 16th when I came check-in, a SUPER impolite and confused Chinese employee told me it was nearly the price I'd pay to stay in a hotel.

Hi João, I am sorry to hear you felt the employee was so rude to you. I am very surprised as he is usually commented upon by guests as being friendly, polite and helpful. In the 6 months he has worked for us I have never seen him be anything but polite, so I can only assume he was having... More

if you'd like to rest at night - pick up another hostel. nobody is watching silence to be kept after 11 pm. also it's very dirty - you can easily find rice in table games or garbage everywhere on the seats. and you are not hardly restricted to drink beer, though it can be a "plus" sometimes.

I always stay at cheap hostels, however I felt very uneasy and uncomfortable at CheapSleep. Some of the permanent stayers are very aggressive, I got sweared at a couple of times. I experienced 4 nights of constant arguments about stealing empty beer cans / 1 slice of bread / half of a cookie / money and just general drunk people's... More

Hi Ewa, I am so sorry to hear your stay went so poorly. Unfortunately I must acknowledge many of your concerns are correct. In March we had a series of unpleasant guests who have all since been removed. In addition, as thefts occurred in not just our hostel but many others around Helsinki during March, we have worked closely with... More

First time in Helsinki and I'm glad I stayed at CheapSleep. Like the name says, it is cheap compared to other hostels around and the place has a fresh and young look. Recently renovated and conveniently located close to public transportation. The bus station is just around the corner and it takes a 15 minute bus ride to the city,... More
