The hostel was very not as good as we the one in Tallinn. The name states that it is pretty cheap and that is in fact true. The rooms are pretty cramped and the common area is really not that cozy. The hostel is pretty far from the city center and for going out you need to take the bus... More

We spend 5 nights in the apartment near the Oespenski-cathedral. First, we had to collect the key in Pasila (where their hostel is), 4,5km away from the apartment. This is truly a waste of time. The girl at the reception of the hostel could barely speak or understand English, though she was quite friendly. There are no signs in the... More

The hostel is a bit far from the city centre (well not that far but you have to take a bus to get there). There are rooms only for female, which is pretty enjoyable for females travelling alone. The staff was really nice and helpful. The bathrooms were not so clean but you can't expect much better as this is... More

Spend there two nights around new years eve. For a solo traveller it was quite boring. But well, this doesn't affect the hostel review. The hostel is okay for one or two nights if you need a cheap bed in Helsinki. Rooms were clean (stayed in a 16 or 18 bed dorm) toilets and showers could be cleaner. Kitchen was... More

Cheapsleep is a joke. I arrived in Helsinki from the Baltics. In Vilnius, Riga and Tallinn I had stayed in some seriously cheap hostels (£8 a night) that put this hopeless shambles to shame. I was in the 26 bed dorm and there was not a chance in hell I was ever going to fall asleep. What's a cheap sleep... More

Dear Gabriel, We are sorry to hear your stay with us went so poorly. Whilst I don't think we can address all your points, we'd like to take on a few. Unfortunately we cannot offer accommodation as low in price as many hostels in the Baltic states can. Please understand Finland is a Nordic country at a very different stage... More

Stayed only one night in CheapSleep, but I liked it for how much I paid. It was more expensive than I'm used to, but pretty good compared to the rest of Helsinki. The area was pretty nice; I got there a little earlier than I had planned, so I sat in a cafe across the street (they have good chocolate... More

I have stayed here 2 nights and it was not a pleasant experience. The Hostel is "cheap", compared to Helsinki standards (though 60 EUR a night for a 16 shared would be expensive in most other cities). The receptionists are friendly, but not really helpful, they tell you the basics and then refer you to maps and info on the... More

This place was my last resort when everything close in town was full. Reception staff was really friendly, helpful, and kind. However, since I was coming in late, I could not turn on the light to see in the room since people were sleeping. It wasn't until the morning that I realized my sheets were definitely dirty. There were stains... More

One of cheapest places to stay in Helsinki. It is well connected to town and the airport, supermarket downstairs is good. Staff helpful and friendly. Showers clean, looks like it is new, furniture quite fresh. Three fridges, good system to keep good in them. For sleeping and rest after a long day out in town.
